25.01.2022 2012 diesel cruze 2.0. This mighty cruze came to us after being to a couple of other workshops in the area, the fault being low power on first take off after sitting around for an hour or so. After some extensive testing and diagnostic work it was reccomended to replace the turbo as the VGT was not operating as desired. 20.01.2022 VDJ200. This cruiser came in for its regular service upon inspection the water pump was found to be leaking. 19.01.2022 05 MK Triton: We had this turbo diesel Triton come to us with the customer worried about a failed head gasket, we carried out a few checks and gave the bad news there was water leaking internally (the head was cracked which is common for the 4M40). 19.01.2022 GRJ120 Prado. This car was brought in to us with the oil light on. Even though it has been serviced its whole life every 10-15,000 kms Here is a good example of why cars need to be serviced every 5000kms! After checking the oil pressure we found exactly what we suspected, a seriously blocked oil pick up! Check out the pics below! After removing and cleaning the majority of sludge from the sump and pickup, we carried out an engine flush process. After a few hours of work t...he correct oil pressure was once again obtained (and the oil light switched off ) Unfortunately an issue like this would have shortened the life span of the engine, thats why its so important to get regular checks and services 49 Norma rd, Myaree 9317 2500

18.01.2022 2014 MN Triton 4D56 - 80,000kms. We recently had this triton drive in with a customer complaint of a bad vibration, after a test drive and few fuel and induction checks, we reccomended removing timing covers to inspect the balance shaft belt. In the photos you can see the balance shaft belt completely stripped of all its teeth, with the shafts no longer spinning it sent the engine out of balance giving our fault. At 80,000 kms this belt has failed prematurely and it was super lucky it didnt throw the engine timing causing much more damage. After reassembly with new belts and pulleys, we carried out a MAF service, relearnt the small injection quantity resetting all collected data to finish the job off nicely. 9317 2500

09.01.2022 Subaru Forrester with a shudder on turns. A regular customer of ours recently came to us with the above complaint, we started with a test drive to confirm the fault, next step was to look at some data from the individual wheel speed sensors all looking ok we attached our mechanics chassis ears (a tool which helps locate noise). 06.01.2022 Hyundai i30 steering wheel clunk This poor i30 was suffering with clunky noises everytime the steering wheel was moved - a common problem we see! The culprit is the little plastic bush pictured in the 3rd photo, you can see the new bush (circled) and the remainder of the old one in the electric steering assist motor. This car came to see us for a service and coolant leak, after carrying out the service and inspecting the coolant leak we gave the customer the bad news the EGR cooler had failed. All the photos are of reassembling the job, this job took a few hours removing all the parts and getting the egr back into place nicely, all in all a great job at the end of the day and the car left here feeling and driving a heap better after the service. This customer got reccomended to us from another shop, after a pressure test on the cooling system it was clear the water pump needed replacing.
