10.01.2022 The weather is perfect at the moment for exploring the great outdoors, and we have had quiet a few Bibbulmun Track walkers and Munda Biddi Bike riders stay during the past few weeks. It would seem a comfortable bed and a hot shower are greatly appreciated to help with recovery between travel days. 09.01.2022 Looking for something adventurous to do this holiday season? Why not tackle one of the Southern Forests' two climbing trees? These humongous karri trees were on...ce used as fire lookouts in the 1930s and 1940s. Wooden pegs in the thick trunks lead the way to the fire lookouts constructed at their tops. If you're game, climb the 52.7metres to the lookout at the top of the 58m-tall Gloucester Tree in Pemberton (pictured here). Or, if you're in for an extra challenge, climb the 65metres to the top of the 75m-tall Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree.
