23.01.2022 Just a reminder, Boort Fire Brigade's annual Christmas hamper raffle will be on Saturday the 19th of December outside the IGA, please support your local brigade. $2 per ticket. Prize is a wheelbarrow full of groceries. Drawn on the day.
23.01.2022 We’ve had many enquirers regarding how people can help out with the current bushfires, the best way is to make an online donation. There are reports that many volunteers across charity organizations, are spending a lot of time sorting through goods rather than assisting communities. If you would like to help, An official Bushfire Disaster Appeal has been set up in response to the overwhelming request from our generous community who are wanting to make donations.... Experience tells us that donation of money is much more effective and provides more flexibility than the donation of material items. If you would like to donate to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal you can do so here: http://emergency.vic.gov.au/relief/#donations

21.01.2022 Well our raffle has been run and won for another year. Firstly before we announce the winners, we would love to say a massive thanks to our 2 sponsors. Boort IGA for looking after us with the BBQ and all the goodies inside the wheelbarrow. Also North West Ag for the kind donation of the strong, assembled wheelbarrow. Without these great sponsors this raffle wouldn’t be possible. All the funds raised from our fundraising goes straight back to the community. These funds are g...oing straight towards a new FCV that we have to update. 1st prize - Hazel Whitmore 2nd prize - Vikki Lanyon Finally we would love to say thanks to our amazing community and everyone else that bought tickets.

He will have a quick break at the station and then will jump on the truck and start his tour of Boort. Please listen out for the siren . 08.01.2022 Bill Slade (FFMV) Mat Kavanagh (FFMV) David Moresi (FFMV) Geoffrey Keaton (NSW RFS) Andrew O’Dwyer (NSW RFS)... Samuel McPaul (NSW RFS) Ian McBeth (Coulson Aviation - Montana) Paul Hudson (Coulson Aviation - Arizona) Rick DeMorgan Jr (Coulson Aviation - Florida) Today on International Firefighters Day (St Florian’s Day) we honour our firefighting colleagues worldwide for their service to their communities and remember those who have fallen in the line of duty. Volunteering and working to serve your community as a firefighter is a brave and generous act. Sadly this year we remember the nine firefighters lost during the catastrophic 2019/2020 Australian bushfire season. In Victoria, we acknowledge the wonderful work of our firefighting colleagues within CFA, and those from the MFB (Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade) and Forest Fire Management Victoria. We also pause to honour the memory of the 79 CFA (Country Fire Authority) firefighters that have not come home, having lost their own lives while protecting the lives and property of others. May those who never made it home continue to Rest In Peace having paid the ultimate price on the fireline - in our hearts and thoughts, and with our most grateful thanks for their service.
07.01.2022 Just keep this in mind today! Maybe keep the washing off the line!

An incident such as this will have a ripple affect across the broad emergency service sector. Please check in on each other.
