25.01.2022 Today our young inventors put their entrepreneurial caps on to design their own business. Yet again, we had so many wonderful concepts including, an egg carton design for those who would like to sell their own produce, an electric airplane with a focus on sustainability, as well as a not for profit orphanage where they would host bake sales to gather funds. Absolutely brilliant work! We are looking forward to tomorrows session Design A Product. You can book your primary or high school inventor in here https://www.bopeducation.com/inventors

16.01.2022 Young innovators are naturally curious, but often need guidance. They benefit from being set challenges where out of the box thinking is valued. It can be very tempting to give our kids all the answers. But when we do this, they lose out on the productive struggle that helps them grow. We look at Four Ways to Engage A Young Innovator

15.01.2022 Tuesday was such a fabulous day at The Way Beyond Today Expo. Scott began the day with, "It's not always about careers and money, it's about finding your authentic self." The Way Beyond Today Expo is held annually at Kelvin Grove State College for their Year 10 students. There were so many topics touched on in the panels with the message reiterated to the kids that it's not necessarily about your ATAR, it's about being a good human and enjoying the work you do. We have been ...partners and co-conspiritors in helping deliver the event and it saw the team working with the college to develop a series of resources in the lead up to the event. You known it's a good day when a student describes the event as 'electric'!

07.01.2022 Who says that STEM programs can't have dress ups in them? When we do 'Film Your Own Hologram' workshops in schools we make sure to bring a well stocked suitcase of dress ups for the students to try on to make sure they pop on screen. Want to know the science behind it? Students need to stand against a black screen for the holograms so it looks like they are floating in mid air. That means the more bright colours they're wearing, the more their hologram will pop! #Holograms #Science #STEMWorkshop #FilmYourOwnHologram
