14.01.2022 For those who missed out the first time. It's back!

12.01.2022 Such a shame but hopefully back next year.

11.01.2022 Great article for a quick read. Evidence suggests a positive affirmation from your doctor can reduce the severity of symptoms. Words have power. Careful what you say to your patients. This can work both ways with negative suggestion. Always focus on the positives when discussing a condition.

10.01.2022 People are always asking "what is Myotherapy?" Myotherapy (Myo=muscle) by definition just means muscle therapy. It is an extension of Remedial Massage Therapy b...ut it is much more than that. It is a modality used to treat soft tissue and joint dysfunction using current best practice, evidence based treatment modalities, which may include cupping, strapping, dry needling, electro therapies, joint mobilisation, fascial/connective tissue release, soft tissue treatment etc and also rehabilitative exercise prescription. But the most important part of treatment style is 'purpose'. I encourage students to not just aimlessly treat muscles because they are 'tight'. If you are going to treat something, treat it for a reason. Assess, treat and reassess. Decide if your treatment is working and if not, modify your treatment hypothesis and start again. If you are a Remedial Massage Therapist that already treats like this, then Congratulations! You have extended yourself far beyond the original scope of the training package and you are working just like a Myotherapist. Not everyone can extend themselves like that in life and that is why we need the Advanced Diploma training package. @massmyoaus #myotherapy #remedialmassage #treatment #assesstreatreassess #nmsc #continuingeducation See more

07.01.2022 Big things happening in Albury Wodonga for Mountain Bikers and walkers. Congratulations to Alburycity and Wodongacity councils. Both taking steps forward

07.01.2022 Some heavy reading below but here is the gist of it. 1, when you build muscle you increase the number of nuclei serving the fibres(build strength). 2, when muscles atrophy(waste away) the number of nuclei doesn't diminish. And heres the cool bit! This adds evidence to the premise that your ability to get stronger doesn't diminish with age.... Now here's the sinister bit. This also suggest that gains made by an athlete whilst using steroids may provide lasting increases in potential strength, even after they have stopped using. #WADA https://m.facebook.com/story.php

04.01.2022 Current Covid 19 status. 2/8/20 -The clinic is currently operating as 'normal' within State government regulations. -Treatment numbers are limited to ensure our compliance. - only people receiving treatment are to be onsite unless you are a carer, parent or custodian of a patient being treated. -Vic patients from within the Border bubble are still allowed to come in for treatment with a 'Medical' Border Pass. -if you have been to or near any hotspot areas, do not come in.... . We hope to continue treatments but rely on your compliance to allow this to happen. Thankyou. . If you have any further questions, please comment or ring the clinic on 02 60415814 See more
