25.01.2022 To all our dance friends and families. After careful consideration we have decided to continue Thursday night classes with a few necessary changes to protect everyone’s health and well-being. Cooly Rec Club is well equipped to ensure everyone’s hygiene is considered. The club has several hand sanitiser dispensers conveniently located throughout the venue, which we encourage you to use as you enter the club and during breaks. We also encourage you to bring your own hand sanit...isers and wipes for added protection throughout the evening. From this Thursday we will NOT be rotating partners during classes in the interest of all, until it is deemed safe to do so. We still encourage and welcome all singles, however, we will rely on you all as adults to communicate with other members of the club and pre-arrange a dance partner prior to lessons. We look forward to seeing you all having fun as usual on the dance floor, unless something drastic happens in the coming days. 21.01.2022 Important update - Change of Venue Border Rockers are relocating to the Cooly Rec Club, 2 Gerrard St, Coolangatta. Air Conditioned venue with a fantastic dance floor which I’m sure you will all appreciate. ... 2020 classes will commence with a FREE social dance and live music provided by Michael Asma on Thursday 30th January at 6pm Week 1 Dance Lessons commence on Thursday 6th February at 6pm - Beginner, Intermediate and Social Dancing We will also be teaching a partner Dance or a Line Dance (Dance to be advised) Looking forward to seeing you all after our trip away

17.01.2022 Hello to our Border Rockers friends and family. We hope you are all well and staying safe during these testing times, I can assure you Ann is climbing up the walls and very keen to get me back on the dance floor, I have no doubt many of you feel the same. I hope you all took advantage of the restrictions which was eased over the weekend, to thank the special women in your lives for Mother's Day. I hope you had a peaceful time and spoilt all our wonderful ladies as they deser...ve. Unfortunately the lifting of restrictions haven't been enough for us to proceed with our midyear social dance, so we have decided to postpone this dance until our Xmas Party on Sat 19th December 2020, all going well. If you have pre-purchased tickets to the midyear dance, we can offer you one of the following options. Reserve you a ticket to our Xmas Party social dance, or Refund your money when classes recommence. As you can appreciate we can’t predict when classes will recommence, we can only hope its soon. 10.01.2022 After today’s Government announcement and careful consideration for everyone’s health and well-being, we have decided to SUSPEND classes until further notice. Our intent is to re-evaluate the situation after Easter and make further announcements, please check our FB site and Web page for updates. Stay safe and look after each other until things settle....
