24.01.2022 On a beautifully mild autumnal afternoon, the Cobras 3rds took on Richmond Union CC in the 2 day Grand Final today at Victoria Road Reserve. The Tiges won the toss and batted. With tight bowling and good field placements, the Cobras rattled through the opponents after 68 overs for 112. The boys were led by the youngster Dan Gambell who enjoyed the gentle easterly cross breeze coming from the Grummitt/Power side to assist his left arm medium hoops and was rewarded with a Michelle 5fa for his work. Well done young man - a great performance. And a great team performance as well. With the outfield looking a treat and fast courtesy of the Boroondara Council and a strong batting line up, we have high hopes that the 3rds can bring home the silverware for the Club. Go Cobras !

07.01.2022 Under grey skies the u10 King Cobras commenced their 2020/21 cricket season fielding a team of 7, 8 and 9 year olds with 4 first year players and 4 seasoned ‘veterans’ from last season. One of four u10 teams for the Boroondara Cobras this season, the Club has preferred a mix of players in each team of differing age, experience and schools rather than a friends/school based set of teams. The King Cobras also added a buddy system to the mix for their team this season so that new first year players were buddied with seasoned ‘veterans’ who played last season to befriend the novices and ‘show them the ropes’. A great experiment enjoyed by all new and ‘veteran’ players (and their parents) alike. Go Cobras!
