"Dentistry is an essental service and we don't w...ant people to forgo necessary dental care... but we have an important role to help stop this pandemic. Even though there are restrictions on routine dental treatment, many dentists are still open and providing emergency dental care. It's really important to continue to take good care of your teeth: brush with fluoride toothpaste and floss, reduce sugar intake, drink water and take it easy on snacks." See more

19.01.2022 Hi Everyone Our efforts in social distancing and following recommendations are thankfully making a difference! From the 27th April, all dental practices have been advised by the Chief Medical Officer and Health Department to follow level 2 dental restrictions. ... We are now able to provide not only emergency treatments, but dental examinations, fillings, root canal treatments and extractions. Routine teeth cleaning should still be postponed if possible. Our surgery’s strong emphasis on preventive dental care results in more stable oral health. That has been evident in the last four weeks as only a handful of our patients needed access to emergency care and most of it was provided over the phone. We are continuing to use precautions for your safety and care both with scheduling appointments and infection control measures. Boroondara Family Dentist is now open Mondays and Thursdays 9am 4:30pm and Fridays 10am 2pm. We are also asking our patients to delay their visit if: - They feel unwell, including but not limited to experiencing Covid-19 symptoms - Travelled overseas within the last 14 days - Had contact with a confirmed or suspected case of Covid-19 within the last 14 days Keep well and stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you soon!

15.01.2022 A 600ml bottle of soft drink can have up to 3 times the daily added sugar limit for an adult as recommended by World Health Organisation. Excess of sugar will have even greater effect on children's health. This is a great campaign putting a spot light on the damage that sugary drinks (juices, flavoured milks, sports and energy drinks etc) can cause to your oral and general health such as tooth decay, gum disease and diabetes #rethinksugarydrinks

We will continue to see patients as advised by the Australian Dental Association and the health department and will notify you if that changes. We ask that if you have any of the following you post-pone your elective dental treatment: 1. If you feel unwell, including but not limited to experiencing COVI...D19 symptoms or 2. Whilst at our practice please remember to use hand sanitiser which is available on the front counter as you walk in. With our elderly patients we prefer if you wait in the car and we will call you in when we are ready to see you.
