25.01.2022 someone has actually done this!!!

24.01.2022 This is the free community splashpark in Red Deer, where we are living this year. I desperately think Kilburn needs something like this. I've noticed in Albert...a, that there is a different ethos around community amenity. Schools are not fenced and there is less of a fear-drive around playgrounds. I think this is healthy. This splashpark is cement, and it's not particularly slippery. A toilet block is provided, and if something similar were done in Kilburn, it might harvest enough water for an almost closed cycle, with cleaning and filtering of water for reuse. This park is so comfortable and pleasant to hang out in, and it invites people in to spend time with their children. It has shade, grass, picnic tables, bins, etc. When a community amenity such as this is made freely available to the community, it becomes respected, valued and cared for. See more

22.01.2022 Says it all really! Although the shop on Magill Rd has relocated to the front room of my house for now, I still offer a full service where you can learn all you... need to know about using cloth nappies on your baby. The website is going strong too :) PM me with any questions or to book an appointment to come and learn about MCNs See more

22.01.2022 So heres the next step. Thanks for all your likes. Please share with others you think may be interested. My strong belief is that we dont all have to have everything, but that making everything accessible is beneficial to all. I have been gradually collecting items for this resource, and I would love to add your unwanted, or unmatching, or one-of-a-kind items to the treasure box. ... I will accept donations, but I am also prepared to buy items for op shop prices. Please contact me with offers, and we can negotiate.

18.01.2022 Here's a shortish radio interview with an Australian zero-waste advocate. Lots of common sense advice about how to do this!

18.01.2022 So today I went through my collection of treasures. and put together some party sets. There are two boxes for 19 children, and one for 8. These boxes contain plates, bowls, cups, spoons and forks. Please contact me if you would like to use them at your next event.

11.01.2022 Plastic exists.

11.01.2022 This is a radio interview with some people who have written a book that perfectly expresses some of the sentiments that led me to creating this page.

08.01.2022 Why? Here's why - plastic is an amazing, non-renewable resource, and we don't value it nearly enough.

02.01.2022 This is a wonderful venture. I wish I hadn't thrown out the few forks our son bent out of shape, because they would have been fine for bear fur....
