24.01.2022 We are currently doing what we were trying to avoid at all costs. Moving house during peak farm times. But hey, ya can’t win ‘em all and to be honest the place we’ve snagged is worth the wait x 1000. Finding rentals in our neck of the woods is difficult, being such a magnificent place the AirBnB effect is real. It’s especially tricky if you’re a couple and wanting a pad for yourselves. Loads of our mates are struggling with this now. So, we count our lucky stars that some lo...cal legends have offered us this nest that they have built themselves, on a bush block right by the river and close to the beach. It’s solar powered, we’ll be using a compost dunny and the mozzies are gonna be gnarly. But, we’re amongst crazy amounts of frogs, birds and spotted gum trees. With the added positive of living a little more consciously. After returning from a massive trip in December and moving three times since then, we can finally settle into our very own space again and it’s the best feeling ever. Even though we’ve got a million things to do on the farm at the moment, packing up a crate like this one with familiar trinkets we’ve had in our homes over the years, is more than an okay deterrence. See ya gypsy life. Kinda.

24.01.2022 Not how we usually wash our veg, but bloody stunning nonetheless. Had the pleasure of showing @harriet.olive around the farm last week. Thanks for the visit, the snap and more notably the delicious coffee beans. You’re a delight. Have a great weekend legends.

21.01.2022 We found this French woman passed out after harvest covered in the goods that’ll be going to @sagefarmersmarket this arvo. Drunk off the scent of carrots + coriander + rocket. Come get some!

20.01.2022 Check out these groovers! Elsa + Jules have thrown in their chef knives (for now) and picked up some farm tools instead. This cute couple have worked at some amazing restaurants here and overseas and it’s ballistic that we get to hang out for a while and soak up some of their knowledge as well. They’re staying with us in the Bush Box (name of new pad) and helping out on the farm in the hope of learning some new skills to help their future projects thrive with the freshes...t of veg. We’ve warned them that because it’s our first season here, we might not be the most level headed of teachers, but we’re gonna try our darn hardest. Thanks for picking us guys! Let’s do this.

20.01.2022 Bloody lovely looking Tatsoi that’ll be apart of our salad mix.

19.01.2022 Goooooood morning tommies! You will be potted up soon, don’t worry about a thang.

19.01.2022 Snagged some beaut poppies at the market today. Grown by Pickles.

19.01.2022 A model we are extremely interested in! Have you heard of CSA? If so/if no, have a read of this. Hows it sound to you? Yay Roly Poly Farm for the write up. https://www.theguardian.com//how-to-buy-direct-from-austra

17.01.2022 Trees from a Dr Seuss book or flowering radicchio?

15.01.2022 YEW! Bring on cook ups at the farm! Thanks to @berb_box and other legends for helping us out with a gift voucher for this one. This will be such an essential addition to the farm. Gettin’ giddy thinking of all the coffee, brekky, lunch and dinner potentials.... Yay!

15.01.2022 Layers. Onions have layers. Ogres have layers. Farms also have layers and here are some cakey looking ones from today.

14.01.2022 Like any job there’s always things about farming that irritate and grind at the gears. Like when you embark on a job that innately you know requires gumboots but you are too lazy to swap said boots and then end up with this gripe worthy situation - moon boots for shoes.

13.01.2022 01.09.2020 marks a few things to note this year. First and foremost is spring. The bringer of warmer temperatures, longer days and an invisible stampede in the form of hard yakka on the farm. After plodding away behind the scenes, it feels like we’ve been working in Willy Wonka’s factory and it’s about to open to the public for the first time. Today also brought to us a manically written list of all things we still need to get done and purchase before we start harvesting in a... month. Market stall attire, veg boxes for our delivery/pick-up scheme and figuring out how to re-wire the bloody washing machine into a salad spinner when we are electrical numpties. Moving house has gotta be squeezed into that list somewhere too. It’s bat shit crazy up in here, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The beautiful pear flowers pictured sparkled above us at the farmers market today and reminded us that we moved to Moruya just under seven months ago and have been welcomed by some of the best humans we’ve come across. It’s National Wattle Day and there’s a full moon tonight. Last, but not least Alex and I will always remember today as being an unfriendly indication that we can’t party like it’s 1999 on weekends anymore without feeling every emotion under the sun the following Tuesday. Thanks for being apart of the journey guys and for the constant messages of love and support. To our mates and family, we love ya and really sorry if we miss out on a few barbies and hang outs in the coming months. We makin’ chocolate.

13.01.2022 If you know us, you know that this situation is pure .

13.01.2022 This is Keji. We named him after Kejimkujik National Park in Nova Scotia, Canada. We shortened it for obvious reasons. He sleeps, cuddles, jumps around a bit, loves the beach and sleeps some more. He’s also digging our mulch pathways as much as we are. We’ve only had this little stray Kelpie in our lives for 6 months, but we love him a lot and are very thankful he found us. Little weirdo.

13.01.2022 Just a couple of lumps. One cheery and riddled with nervous energy. The other calm and focussed (and hating having his photo taken). This is the balance that helps us live and work together so symbiotically. I can get pretty deep in over analysing things and get stuck in the intricate web of my brain. Yet the anxiety motivates me. If you know Alex, you’ll know that he’s super gentle, logical and reassuring. He validates my worries and then brings it back down to practical an...d realistic solutions. We’ve been together for 9 years now and the past year together of growing this business has solidified our teamwork and how much we adore each other. It’s all a bit surreal to be honest. Two weeks until we hit the markets and it’s bloody go time.

10.01.2022 Mid-morning crop appreciation moment. Broccoli + red mignonette lettuce coming along very nicely. We’ve started to take home sneaky bunches of kale + herbs and it’s all becoming very very real. We’re gonna be at market before we know it.

08.01.2022 The rainbow that is our box innards this week! What a steep learning curve the past 3 weeks have been. It’s a juggling act for sure but one of the most satisfying juggles we’ve experienced. Feeding the local community has always been what we have wanted to do and to be finally doing it feels unreal. Our lucky customers have a treat this week in the form of rhubarb from local growers @kat_lunaharvest + Wendy. Perks of living in an area abundant with growers and producers. If ...you live between Narooma - The Bay and are keen on a weekly delivery like this one, hit us up on the ‘Veg Box’ page on our website to jump on the waitlist! Enjoy your Friday leg-ends!

07.01.2022 A day filled with podcasts, really great discoveries of music, getting plants in the ground and a sore butt because of it.

07.01.2022 The stern blue steel of a woman who has been copping wind to the face all day. And not the type that comes from a nearby butt. These spring winds are gnarly.

05.01.2022 Frosty morning here.

05.01.2022 Time to get witchy on the farm. A beautiful gift from our dear friend Pats. @woolgatheringwanderings

04.01.2022 So excited about these tiny little seeds. Paper daisies! These native perennial beauties are gonna be sold as fresh cut + dried flowers if all goes to plan. We got copper red, lemon, orange and salmon rose colours. We love ‘em, bees love ‘em and the soil loves ‘em. Bloody winners all round.

04.01.2022 The face of a satisfied Frenchie sittin’ on a folded up tarp. It’ll be nice to not have to move these big boys around again for a little while. But as usual we’ll blink and we’ll be unravelling them again. They’re a mission, but by god it’s worth it when you see the clean beds underneath.

02.01.2022 Everything’s poppin!
