09.01.2022 Billi and Matt bracing some cold, wet and windy weather to implant 127 embryos over the past two days. Selecting the Recipient cows out of 160 programmed animals, recips are scanned prior to implant and graded based on CL structure. This is a strong reminder to check in on your family, mates and colleagues and start the conversation about mental health! You never know what people may be struggling with behind the scenes and we should encourage safe and open environments to speak about these issues. 02.01.2022 **WARNING** don’t watch if you have a weak stomach!!! An exciting start to the week out on the road! Preparing for a week of repro work we came across this recipient cow whilst scanning and noticed a large abscess on her neck. The site was injected with anaesthetic before lancing the abscess and letting it drain.
