10.01.2022 NGC 253, aka the Sculptor Galaxy lies some 11.5 million light years away in the constellation of Sculptor. It is a favourite of astrophotgraphers, very much like the Andromeda and the Sombrero galaxies. This is a test image blending Ha data with RGB data. A total exposure time of just under three hours consisting of 2 minute sub-exposures.

04.01.2022 M17 the Omega Nebula, somewhat overshadowed by its more famous cousin, M16 the Eagle Nebula (as captured by Hubble Telescopes's iconic Pillars of Creation image). Data for this image is captured over three evenings, using Ha, Oiii and Sii narrowband filters and an ASI1600 cooled camera and a Vixen R2000ss 8" f4 reflector.
