17.01.2022 WINDOWS 10 AUTOMATIC UPGRADE Microsoft has emphasised that users will still have control over upgrading eligible Windows 7, 8.0 and 8.1 devices to Windows 10. Technically they are right, however they are also wrong. By now Windows 7 & 8 users will be aware if not frustrated with the Windows 10 upgrade prompts. Now the company plans to change Windows 10 to a "Recommended Update".... Windows updates have a setting for "Important Updates" and "Recommended Updates". The majority of devices will have "Important Updates" set to "install automatically" and Recommended Updates set to "Give me recommended updates the same way as important updates". Up until now this has been the recommended settings. Now if this is how your devices setting are, Windows 10 will probably install automatically once microsoft changes the way Windows 10 is downloaded. If you do not want to upgrade to Windows 10, then I recommend turning off "Recommended Updates" This is not a perspective of Windows 10, it's about the implementation method.
