24.01.2022 I have 5 siblings - 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Out of the 4 girls in my family, 3 of us have been touched by cancer. People have often thought Margie and I were twins - so much so that we both received our cancer diagnoses within weeks of each other. Today is Margies birthday and I wanted to say a big thank you to her from our Blue Dot family as she continues to support our charity. Have an amazing day Sis and I look forward to a piece of cake later xxx

24.01.2022 Andy has had his second treatment from the professional services of the team at 5D Clinics: CyberKnife Radiosurgery Australia and says he is feeling really well. He now has a few days off and has decided to enjoy the long weekend in Perth and take some time to explore our amazing South West. Safe travels Andy and see you when you get back. Only three treatments to go.

22.01.2022 It is with a very beary heart that we announce our Blood, Sweat and Tiers event will need to be postponed until next year. This event will be so special but when you have an incredible line up of people with Down Syndrome and Cancer we have no choice in this current environment but to postpone until safer times. For those who have purchased tickets in our pre event raffle we have a record of your purchase which is in a dedicated bank bucket or if you would like a refund please email [email protected] - remember if you or anyone you know is on a cancer journey we are here to support in many ways particularly those from our regional areas who want to avoid hospital waiting rooms for their treatment.

Blue Dot Army advocates for positive change to improve experiences for people affected by cancer. We are seeking an offer for pro bono services for our digital presence and strategic messaging to have more clarity and consistency. There are 3 areas of focus. Blue Dot Hotels supports outer metro Perth and WA ...regional people have cancer treatment administered in the comfort of a hotel room. We intend to expand this service nationally through existing hotel networks. Our Concierge Program is built around keeping in touch with cancer patients on a regular basis. The Change500 program, a giving program, will build funds to support immediate pain points for cancer sufferers during everyday living. Blue Dot Army is registered with the ACNC, we have all necessary requirements, processes and management in place to move towards our next phase. We know it is a very unsettling time for everybody and people undergoing treatment may feel more isolated than ever. 20.01.2022 Andy’s cancer journey is educational, heartfelt and a wonderful reminder for men to stay on top of their health. Thanks to the team from 5D Clinics: CyberKnife Radiosurgery Australia, we had the honour to support Andy in a non medical way during his time in Perth.

Andy is from Queensland and came to us via our referral partner 5D Clinics: CyberKnife Radiosurgery Australia Today he is having his gold seed marker inserted with leading edge radiotherapy starting next week. Andys story has touched our hearts and we are thrilled to announce we have activated our Change500 program to help change the experience of his cancer journey. 16.01.2022 It was truly a great honour to share with industry colleagues from Skål International Broome as a member of Skål International Perth 250 about our charity. It has been a dream to connect the professionalism of the tourism and hospitality industry with the cancer world to change the experience for those on a cancer journey. 15.01.2022 Three months ago today Riley was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He had his final radiation treatment this morning. It was so exciting to visit with him this afternoon and watch him play a game. ‘Rad Riley’ came third and won himself a great prize. Congratulations little man - you are a real inspiration. Keep kicking goals.

We will improve the waiting room experience, reduce anxiety and promote health and wellness which form part of the holistic experience of a cancer journey.
