13.01.2022 Big thank you to everyone who attended our Members 25th Birthday High Tea on Monday, it was a little windy but the sun was shining. It wasn't quite the big 25th Birthday celebration we were originally planning, however, it was lovely to catch up with everyone and see some members we haven't seen in a while. A special mention and presentation was made yesterday to Marilyn Ward and Di Summerhayes. Both are active volunteers on our Support Team and have been volunteering for Bo...som Buddies in a variety of roles for the past 25 years. Definitely something to be celebrated. Thank you to our supporters Capital Chemist Southlands Beyond Bank The Breast Care nurses Colleen's Lingerie and Swimwear Pink-a-Boo designs Mercure Canberra Debbie and Mandy (our knitting twins) Aldo for capturing the morning for us And Liesl for donating some fabulous prizes!
13.01.2022 A section of our wigs, with some new wigs which have just arrived. A reminder that we personally fit each wig - on occasions it requires internal sewing for th...e smaller head sizes. If we haven’t the colour you need we order it in (it usually is overnight, but due to COVID-Time we find it may be an extra day or two). Our service is of no extra charge to you with fitting and trimming. See more

03.01.2022 Ellis Zonderhuis was 46 when she was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ, or DCIS. Non-life-threatening and often referred to as ‘stage 0 breast cancer’, th...ere can be a lot of confusion about what DCIS is and why treatment options can be so significant. We’re joined by Ellis and oncoplastic breast surgeon Dr Jocelyn Lippey in the latest episode of Upfront About Breast Cancer to understand more about DCIS, treatment options and follow up care and recovery.
