19.01.2022 TIP TUESDAY Here are some tips for gym newbies! . Lockdown has taught us all this one thing, you need exercise to not only stay healthy, but to stay sane and motivated. If you’ve decided to join a gym now that we’re out of lock down, here’s some tips for you! .... 1. You don’t need to smash every workout! It’s more important to build consistency over intensity when you first start. If you are too sore or too fatigued to train again that week, you are going to take longer to progress. . 2. Prioritise rest time. Since working out in a gym might be new to you, it’s important not to forget to rest. It’s important to include rest times within your workout and into your week. . 3. Focus on form. Correct form will prevent any injuries! It’s more important to make sure you have the correct form over completing a massive amount of reps. . 4. Don’t be nervous. Everyone else in the gym is only concerned about themselves, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! See more

04.01.2022 CARBS . Carbs is the macronutrient that people always fear is what causes people to gain and store fat. But its finding the right carbs that we need to focus on, not avoiding them. Carbs are our main fuel source, they are what give us the energy to train hard, focus at work and are packed full of fibre to help us feel fuller and aid in digestion. . Rather than avoid carbs, focus on eating the right carbs! Minimise things like lollies, chocolate & soft drinks and fill up on fruit, veg, wholegrain pasta, rices and legumes.
