20.01.2022 I know I go on and on about it, but skincare does not have to be complicated! Sometimes in discussions with clients about their skincare routine, I discover they are using so many different brands and products that it’s difficult to work out what’s causing their skin issues Over complicating your skincare routine is asking for trouble. If you keep throwing different products/masks/serums/the latest trend etc at your skin, sooner or later you’re going to damage or disr...upt your skins barrier and this will result in rashes, inflammation, pimples, dry flaking skin etc. Your skins barrier function is to protect it from infection, UV, pollution etc as well as maintain the water balance. If you upset this balance by stripping your skin you’re going to have issues! However all is not lost ... but the only way to improve the condition of your skin is to go right back to basics! Keep your skincare simple and nurturing, use gentle products. And be consistent with your new routine. Look at your lifestyle and food choices as well to help fast track your skin back to good health! ’Skinimalism’ is the idea of reducing your products and routine down to a few multi-use skincare items that pack a powerful punch.
