24.01.2022 That feeling you get after forcing your way through near impenetrable mallee scrub for nearly an hour trying to get to your vegetation assessment site and suddenly it opens up to an open sugar gum forest complete with a meandering creeklet full of plants that you rarely see. Bliss and totally worth the effort.

19.01.2022 It’s not every day that you see something like this. I thought that the goanna would have been afraid of the snake, not eat it! I don’t know if the snake was dead or alive before the goanna got to it.

18.01.2022 Not a bad office for the day. Doing some veg surveys with a view to die for.

12.01.2022 Never mind Where’s Wally, instead it’s where’s the Spyridium nitidum (shining spyridium - so named because of the way the leaves shine in the sunlight due to the white hairs on the leaves) seed!

08.01.2022 Mature plants for a landscaping project growing quite nicely in the Botanical Enigmerase nursery.

03.01.2022 It is with some sadness that I hang up my sisters faithful hat that has travelled many a mile through some pretty interesting scrub adventures with me so that I can don my own hat.

01.01.2022 I was repotting some yakka the other day and was struck by their funky root system. The first time I turned the plant upside down I nearly dropped it, thinking that there was an enormous spider on it!
