22.01.2022 He is the most beautiful thing I have ever grown

15.01.2022 Winter seems to create damaged skin while simultaneously offering the perfect plants to heal it. Calendula can be overlooked in the garden for fresh skin health, yet it's one of the most widely used plant based ingredients in the natural skincare industry. These bright blooms fill our gardens this time of year and adorning your skin with them connects you with a strong source of plant medicine to tackle dry, cracked and sensitive skin. ... Drink the essence of those petals in herbal teas, smother the skin with facial steams, soak in flower filled baths or apply pre made products infused with her natural beauty. Calendula thrives this time of year and is a beautiful reminder your skin can too. These organic seeds created our rows of flowering Calendula's growing @thefarmatbyronbay

14.01.2022 Rain + thunder = vibrant green!! Our tea chest at @thefarmatbyronbay is full of moroccan mint, lime balm and lemongrass that often makes its way straight into the cocktails from @threeblueducks But in my kitchen, I just love making fresh teas, herbal facial steams and Moroccan mint body scrubs from these hardy herbs. ... 14.01.2022 Can't wipe the smile off my dile today! Harvesting Tulsi, the very first herb collected from our skincare gardens I hand planted these seeds last spring and have tended to them genlty, helping them grow and bloom... and now we move into the next stage.... If this virus wasnt around, these herbs would have been gathered and served in a skincare workshop But that time will come again and until then, I have endless ways to bottle the medicinal beauty within her leaves. The first bundle will be dried and infused, while the next harvest is going to be steam distilled! But a small selection will be steeped for celebratory cuppa tea and a fresh facial steam! Tulsi is well known for her adaptogenic and antiviral properties, amongst many other wonderful medicinal actions. She is a valuable herb to reach for and wear in this concerning time as she may help ease stress, tension and deeply clean the skin. But as for the garden, I'd wait until the cool weather has past us before sowing any of her seeds... or if your growing her already, it's not long now until her flowers turn to seeds!

14.01.2022 Adorn your skin in flowers for this special loved up day My favourite kind of petals are the ones we can wear! Be it skincare or perfume And indulging in a flower facial steam is a beautiful way to top up your self love tank by smothering the skin in mother nature's best aromas. ... Herbal steam carries essential oils, hydration and many wonderful medicinal properties that kiss the skin and prompts your pores to open to be cleaned by flower infused heat. This act of cleansing is one luxurious treat for tense facial muscles, blemished skin and black heads. Just be sure to lightly wash your face first. And after your treatment, strain the petals to use the infused water as a cleanser or for a herbal hair rinse I have a blog on my website for how to practice this nourishing self care space... or DM for more pretty details. May you have found many ways of honouring love today. Manda

13.01.2022 Selfcare scrub ~ Filled with fresh Lemon myrtle and Rose Geranium, straight from the garden Swipe for recipe ... These plants are filled with invigorating skin support that can improve circulation, ease physical tension and inflammation. It also deeply cleans pores thanks to the lemon myrtles anti-microbial and anti viral properties. While Rose geranium soothes and tones the skin. And thats just a few of their beautiful benefits! Now I want to share how to get the most out of your product! Treatment tips Apply this scrub slowly...with grace. Think about how long you've grown those ingredients for. If you've seen them flower. How much of the sun's beautiful energy fills those fresh leaves or how does your garden feels on your skin. The deep green colour is full of fresh nutrients to soak in. While adorning yourself with this herbal medicine, use your hands to help relax deeper. Touching your jaw line, temples and shoulders and releasing the tension that might be held there. Smother your breasts, belly and thighs with circles of self acceptance. And finally... When your completly dressed in these plants, now is a really beautiful time to inhale deeply. To pause and feel wrapped in mother nature. To breath in her healing scents and feel connected, cared for and nourished. Then when your ready, rinse off gently. And simply carry on with your day, knowing your still embraced with the essence of plant based self care. You may still be able to smell the beauty lingering on your skin. So I invite you to indulge & enjoy This scrub will last 3- 4 days in the fridge. @ Byron Bay, New South Wales

10.01.2022 Just some flowers slowly making their way into skincare. This garden is growing into all kinds of beauty we can wear. And because of this, I have some new products and workshops releasing soon

08.01.2022 Little summer harvest All these flowers are edible, used in herbal medicine, make gorgeous skincare ingredients, attract benifical insects and one single plant can grow thousands of seeds! I'm planting many more of these beauties this week and will be harvesting them in some new skincare workshops! ... But this little blend is going into my arvo cuppa and a herbal bath. Do you know what they are?

06.01.2022 To me, Skincare should just be another form of organic, wholesome and delicious food for the body. By using our gardens to grow herbs and our kitchens to bottle them, I truly believe we can create nutrient dense beauty products that deeply care for our skin and our earth.

05.01.2022 Growing skincare! The moment has finally come The soil is healthy, irrigation is in, most of the plants are ready and OMG I am so flipping happy to finally be right here, tucking my herb babies into their beds and helping them grow into the abundant ingredients they will become! This herb plot @thefarmatbyronbay is where I will turn seeds into skincare. Sharing ALL I can with you about the process. I want this beauty garden to become a hub for herbal learning. A place for ...women to gather amongst the flowers and experience how skincare is bottled. These rows of living ingredients will change how you see skincare and remind us of what it takes to wear plant based skincare every single day. My little family business is still in the early stages, so the dream is big and the work is hard. But with the helping hands of my son, the support and endless effort of my soul mate and my beautiful new friend Bell, we are building a space that might inspire you to explore the power of homegrown, handmade herbal skincare and fall in love with it like I have. Thanks for being here with me!

04.01.2022 If hand washing takes 20 seconds to ditch the germs Are you also cleansing your face for that long? I'd say the best way to fill 20 seconds has to be with FIVE deep breaths. Just by adding a few slow inhales and big exhales to your beauty routine, you could be squeezing more wellness out of that little slice of daily self care.... Mindful breathing brings all the good feels into the body, things like: ~ Decreases stress ~ Stimulates the lymphatic system ~ Turns on the parasympathetic nervous system ~ Boosts circulation - key player in healthy skin! ~ Fires up the immune system ~ Improves digestion ~ Eases physical and mental tension ~ Increases calm Or does singing the birthday song twice still sound satisfying? or ?

01.01.2022 The first of hundreds of flowers! A gardens beauty is forever unfolding... much like our own. If it's tended to with care.
