09.01.2022 Tonight I thought I would share a little bit about Botany Co and how we came to where we are now. In 2018, Botany Co began as a tiny seed of an idea and a big amount of love for colour and the beauty found in nature. After learning the art of natural dyeing and falling in love with the amalgamation of art and nature, our plant dyed natural fibres blossomed into small batch, plant dyed hair bows, all of which were hand dyed and hand stiched over several days at a time. ... We shared these bows at local artisan markets and seasonal events where we were able to meet so many of you in person and hear your shared fascination for the ancient art of plant dyeing. To us, sharing, learning and expressing ourselves through art is most gratifying and when we asked if you would like to learn how to enjoy this slow craft for yourselves, we were always met with a resounding YES! So to work we went, pivoting the business to produce a kit so thoughtfully designed and created just for you.
