07.01.2022 David Power Medal Congratulations to Tom Carter the winner of the inaugural David Power Medal. The David Power Medal honours the great man of Botany United Cricket Club who has lead this Club for the past 40 years. Under David Power’s leadership, the Club’s greatest asset is its strong team culture within all the Botany players and playing this great game in a respectful manner. It is on this basis that the David Power Medal is awarded.... Since joining the Bots almost four years ago, Tom has made a massive contribution to the Club both on and off the field. Tom is the ultimate team player, who has always put his hand up to help out any of the Botany teams, and is a unwavering positive support to all the players on good days or bad days on the pitch. In just three and half seasons, Tom has already scored over 1,000 runs of the Club with the majority of these runs in the top grade. Tom has a passion for playing cricket, having a laugh with the lads and he has the respect of all the players in the Club. Tom epitomises all the finest characteristics of a Botany player and is a most deserving recipient of the inaugural David Power Medal.

05.01.2022 A club record unbeaten 260 run partnership was hit up today in 5th grade. Awesome effort by Jason McClelland (158 not out) and Richard Collier (100 not out). It was also Jason's and Rich's first centuries for the club. Well done boys

04.01.2022 ROUND 14 Results see off the end of the season. Well done to 1st grade who will progress through to the finals with a big shot of securing the title. GOOD LUCK BOYS

03.01.2022 Round 13 Results some impressive performances over the weekend. Up the bots

02.01.2022 Vale Tony (Chuck) Davis - I am very sad to advise of the recent passing of Botany Cricket legend Tony (Chuck) Davis aka The Milko. Tony was Botany Cricket Player Number 6, he made 127 appearances for the club scoring 877* runs @ 30.24. Tony did start playing before stats were recorded and played when some stats went missing so he would have scored many more runs than this. Everyone who played with Tony will vouch for his passion for the game of cricket, his love for the club and his love for his team mates. Tony was a great cricketer who also captained many Botany teams and was a great character on and off the field. RIP Chuck
