08.01.2022 I just had a not so friendly visit from some 'fly-by-nighter' bitumen con men. Being in the business, we've heard of so many people being scammed by these men. They offer a cheap seal on your driveway because they 'have bitumen left over in their tanker' but they do no preparation before hand and the seal rarely lasts very long. I thought I'd tell you what to look out for so you know... License plate is 561VUR. It was a small silver 4WD. They didn't even get out of the car, ...just drove up to the door and blasted the horn till I came out. Were wearing orange high vis shirts and dark sunnies. Had a UK accent and was quite rude and pushy. Wanted to do the job straight away and didn't even want me to think about it/ talk to Tim first. DO NOT be conned by them. It's people like these who it give bitumen a bad name! When people have work done by them and it doesn't last they sometimes think that all bitumen services are the same. When choosing a seal for your road always remember- it's all about a good firm foundation! (And friendly, honest service!)
