12.01.2022 It's been quite a big 12 months for our Club from December 2019 to December 2020. We had poor greens, the shades and seating around the greens were very old and falling down, the green keepers shed had been around for decades and looked like it and the rubber matting around our greens was that old it was starting to curl up. 12 months later both greens have been renovated and are in excellent condition, the old shades and seating are gone and replaced with fantastic domed shades and new seats, a new green keepers shed is up and the old matting is gone. None if this would have been possible without our new green keeper Nick Parker who has transformed the greens and all the volunteers who spent countless hours most weekends removing the old and putting up the new.

11.01.2022 After a great start to the season, round 2 gets underway this Wednesday night. #boulderbarefoot #homeofthemeerkats

09.01.2022 Towards the end of last year the Boulder Bowling Club set out to improve our greens, replace our aging green keepers shed, replace the matting around the greens and also replace our very old shades and seats. Today we have now completed this through hard work from Nick our green keeper and volunteers who have given up their weekends to give our members something to be proud of. Our greens are the best they have been for quite some time which is a credit to Nick. We have our race round carnival at the end of September and all who are attending will notice a big change in the greens and surrounds. If anyone is wanting to come to our carnival it is not too late to get a team in.

07.01.2022 Boulder Bowling Club opening day today which is the Les Pascoe Memorial and Allsorts Contracting sponsored event. Played in excellent conditions on very good greens and new shades with 26 attending. Congratulations to Roger Pascoe, Trevor Sexton and Brett Hooper on winning the event.

03.01.2022 This weekend we had the annual Goldfields v South East Coastal Bowling League ILRR practise games with both games played at Boulder. After the Saturday arvo games Goldfields won 4 of the 5 rinks with plus 46 shots. Sunday morning was almost the reverse with SECBL winning 3 drawing 1 and losing the other to have plus 35 shots. Overall result Goldfields 211 def SECBL 200. Thank you to SECBL for travelling and all who participated and thanks to Nick for the fantastic greens which have come along from what they were 12 months ago. Goldfields President Dave Dean and League Secretary Paul Gunner holding the shield.

03.01.2022 Goldfields Men's Bowling League held its League Fours at Boulder this weekend just gone in very good conditions and greens. Four games were played with the top 2 going through. After 3 games Col Weightman's side were the only undefeated ones and all they had to do was win or draw the last game to get through. After 10 of 14 ends Col found himself 15/3 down but managed to pick up 11 shots in the next 3 ends to be only one shot behind going into the last end. Col then found him...self 5 shots down and only one bowl to play and looking at missing out on the final he drew shot to draw the game and progress into the final. Joe Kennedy's team and Roger Pascoe's both had 3 wins and a loss but Joe had far better shots up and progressed. In what was a very enthralling final it came down to the last bowl by Col to win 12/10 Congratulations to Boulders Col Weightman, Dennis Treen, Brian Bird and Dudley Jewitt and commiserations to Joe Kennedy, Red Kennedy, Shane Kennedy and Lloyd Delbridge. Thanks to Irene Harvey for the excellent lunch, Sandy Mitchell behind the bar and Nick Parker for his dedication in producing excellent greens and surrounds. See more

01.01.2022 DADS ARMY PART 2 Leading for the 3rd side is Paul ( SHOOTER MC GAVIN ) Gunner , who has shot like a bullet in his bowls He use to bowl like a shotgun ,spraying bullets everywhere, now bowls like a sniper rifle DEADLY ACCURATE , only problem is he loves to look at different Bars and see how there maid ... 2nd in this side is none other and surprise package for me John ( THE MAJOR OF KALGOORLIE) Bowler I haven’t seen this Mature aged recruit bowl much , but from all reports , if he plays like he chairs a council meeting MERREDIN might have a new mayor Playing 3rd is Evergreen and Mister bowls of the league Pat ( TUFFENTHEHANDSHAKE) Kennedy whose form at the moment is red hot ... Definitely the stand out bowler in this team , if he don’t fire Gunner Probably line them up and shoot em all Skipper is David ( DINGO ) Dean This part timer who I haven’t seen bowl for 8 years ....... But we played in the same team last week , just has natural raw talent , bit like his humour Has a big presence when on the green and a bigger won in the bar Finally down to the last team , which is led by Geoff (WATTO) Watson, another country state rep and many other titles, don’t let me tell you Just ask him In saying that he’s one person you want in your side cause he can bowl And he’s also driving and supplying the bus 2nd is Brian ( OZZIE OSTRICH ) Osmetti smallest bloke in the side , last time he played , they lost him in the ditch This bowler is like a bolt of lightning, you will never know when he will strike , loves playing bowls on a Saturday You guessed it HEY HEY ITS SATURDAY 3rd is none other than Roger ( DODGY PANDA ) Pascoe Now I carnt really comment on myself , but I know there are other nick names I have One starts with C , the other W , but I’ve heard others Last but not least is my favourite player and if he was my daddy , I’d have 5 more Jimmy ( CRACKERJACK ) Edwards This bloke is the heart of the team , if this bloke don’t tick ... well that’s another story Since he had his ponytail cut and settled down in life , he’s let his bowls do the talking Still won’t let me do the FLIPPER C’MON STAN See more
