Under a local fire ban, open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.

04.01.2022 SMOKE ALERT Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) will conduct a hazard reduction burn within the Mount Archer National Park and Fla...t Top Range Resources Reserve from tomorrow (17/03), weather permitting. Smoke may affect surrounding residents in the Mount Archer, Rockhampton and Flat Top areas. Smoke can decrease visibility on the roads so it’s important motorists drive safely, to the conditions. Visitors and nearby residents should close windows and doors, and keep medications close by, if suffering from a respiratory illness. See more
