24.01.2022 They are really getting creative now!

24.01.2022 Great day out at the range yesterday. The old .308 managed to take the win from the 700 yard mound in less than favourable conditions. Afterwards we came in a lot closer and had a hunting rifle/service rifle match shooting free hand. The scores may have dropped but the entertainment value definitely did not!! One member even managed to sneak in some load development. Finished the day off with a BBQ lunch.

21.01.2022 Unfortunately guys there will be no shooting this Saturday due to the weather. There is a lot of water built up along the road and around the back of the mantlet.

19.01.2022 We can finally re-open the firearms department this morning!

09.01.2022 PASTORALISTS LOBBY FOR GUN CHANGES Pastoralists battling with an influx of feral camels from drought conditions want access to high powered rifles to help contr...ol the pest animals. Southern rangelands pastoralists want access to semi automatic self-loading firearms, known as category D firearms. They raised the issue with WA Agriculture Minister Allanah MacTienann at a Laverton meeting earlier this month. She raised the issue with WA police but they "strongly advised against any changes to gun regulations around Category D firearms: community safety must always be our priority." Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party MP Rick Mazza supports the idea, saying it would help station owners with pest control. He also wants the state government to take action on the 2016 Law Reform Commission's review of the Firearms Act. None of the 140 recommendations have been implemented from this review, despite police support for a some of the suggested changes. What do you think? Do you think under certain circumstances land owners should be able to access semi automatic guns?

01.01.2022 As all of you are aware, Claremont Firearms has been the victim of a criminal act overnight... We greatly appreciate all of your concern and are concentrating o...ur efforts on getting ourselves back on track and most importantly working with Western Australia Police to find the culprits and ensure the safety of the general public.. For those that have asked, all of our staff are unharmed and although spirits are a little low, we will be fine and back open for business as soon as possible. For all of you who have been affected by this criminal act, we will contact you once we have a greater insight into the status of our inventory. Again, thankyou for your support and concern. The Claremont Firearms team.
