25.01.2022 #FLASHBACK to January 2018. NEARLY 3 years ago. I was unemployed (by choice) on holiday in Europe. This was taken in Paris. I’d just paid a couple of bucks for a giant fairy floss and we were walking along the Seine without a care in the world. If you’d asked me in that moment if I could see myself running my own business (jumping castle hire no less) within the next 8 months I’d probably have laughed at you and then cheers’d you with my giant fairy floss. ... Life’s weird

24.01.2022 Well, here we are. It doesn’t feel like we should be celebrating. In fact? I didn’t even realise until about 10pm but we turned two YESTERDAY! This year has been completely and utterly SHIT. There’s no sugar coating it. It’s been shit for all of us and I don’t like to swear here but shitty shit shit shit. It’s been shit. ... We want to thank you all for your continued love, support and friendship. Through the incredible times and through the last few years of 2020. Yep. Years. It’s been a long road and I feel like I’ve aged 10 years just from stress. But your words of encouragement, support and kindness have seen me through. Thank you for the ride. Who knows what 2021 will bring but CRUMBS it can’t be as bloody bad as 2020....amiright? Happy bday to us. Love and appreciate all of you. Thank you

14.01.2022 What even are BOUNDARIES ... ? When we started Bounce O Rama, I wanted to provide the *best* customer service as a premium jumping castle hire biz. Fast forward two years later and do you know what I’ve discovered? Being available/responding 24/7 via multiple platforms (FB, insta, DMs, email, text, phone calls, whatsapp.....) has become excruciatingly exhausting. And I know what you’re thinking - OMG DID SHE JUST SAY THAT!? ... yes, yes I did. ... I’ve realised that in order to provide the best customer service, to the best of my abilities, requires *me* to be rested, focused, centred and happy. And being available at the drop of a hat to anyone and everyone (including those that are just shopping for the best price - which is totally fine, just not what we are about) does not allow this one-woman admin+socials+customer service show to thrive. From today, after two years of being open and available 12 hours a day (8am to 8pm - and uhhhh beyond that because I’m a people pleaser ), 7 days a week, 365 days a year - we are now limiting our office hours as above. All inquiries received on these days will be responded to on the next available open business day. BRB, gotta go figure out how to setup some auto-response thingys Happy (what day is it? Oh yeah...) 05.01.2022 Ahhhhh CHRISTMAS! My most FAVOURITE time of the year. I will forever be joyful at even the *thought* of Christmas approaching and NOTHING will stop me from feeling it. Not the year that has been, not COVID, not even the fact that I can’t afford presents for everyone I love. I loved Christmas at home. We had it at our place almost every year. Mum would lose her MIND with everything she had to do My special chore? Cleaning the glass panels on the staircase. Every. Year. We ...had a feast laid out on our dining room table, Mum was mostly in the kitchen the whole day - sipping on Solo and Red Wine over ice - cutting bread, arranging plates of food...Dad was on the BBQ, kids were usually on the Nintendo in the lounge room. We had a real tree maybe a handful of times when we were little but as we grew? We opted to decorate a spray painted branch that our dog brought home. I actually still have it - Dad wanted to leave it with the house when it sold but I took it. Those are MY memories - not to (likely) be thrown away by the new occupants thank you very much! With only 5 more Mondays to Christmas, I can actually feel my heart smiling more and more. And the weather at the moment? Classic Aussie summer. BRING IT ON Do you love Christmas?
