23.01.2022 Having a chat with the kids last night about their thoughts and words. . Sometimes it seems almost impossible to get out of your own head. Negative stuff can pull you right down to the lowest of lows. . When we are chronically stressed or filled with caffeine, sleep deprived, inflamed (from poor dietary choices), hormonal (for women, around your period especially), low blood sugar levels (all of these factors affect your blood sugar regularity), or struggling with emotional ...problems like self-esteem, conflict, relationships, etc...etc... Our brains can struggle to REGULATE! . So, it then becomes a much harder job to keep your head straight, feel happy and confident or feel strong and resilient. . The combination of all of these can be totally futile!!! That is why mental health is such a HUGE concern. There are so many factors that people don't even realise are making them feel anxious, depressed, suicidal, etc... . . Diet and lifestyle matter SO much! Reach out if you're struggling. It can be hard to confront and hard to talk about. But there are so many answers and so much hope . . . #mentalhealth #thoughtsmatter #antiinflammatorydiet #femalehormones #selflove See more

20.01.2022 Liliana plaited my hair tonight while we watched Johnny in his Ninja Parkour class Lily tried her first gymnastics class just prior. . It was wonderful watching them . I lasted 3 days on the fast... haha At first I felt like SUCH a failure... and then I decided to pull my head in and refocus. I really did want to make it to a week, but then I also really didn't want to keep going without food Such a dilemma! ... . I do believe that females are much more sensitive to fasting, especially in the Luteal phase, which is when your body 'thinks' you're pregnant. So, I'm sure my hormones were forcing me to eat more than I realise, and affecting those biochemical measures accordingly. . I genuinely felt amazing though, but then yesterday evening, I was hit with fatigue, etc... I made a giant pot of vegetable soup and had some fruit... and felt a lot better. . I can honestly say though that the fast did exactly what I wanted it to do. It reconnected me to my deepest values. I was flying a bit high for a while, and was getting distracted and hectic. Fasting is always a huge spiritual thing for me, to strengthen my mindset, and to create spiritual mastery over my physical self. . Highly recommend it to reconnect . . . #fasting #fast #mum #reconnect #selfmastery #higherself #grounding See more
19.01.2022 ---GF BREAD RECIPE--- . 1. In a bowl mix 1/2c Psyllium husk with 2c water. Whisk with a spoon, and let it sit. . 2. In a second bowl, mix 2x 7g Dry Yeast sachets with 4Tbs Coconut Sugar and 1c and 4Tbs of warm water. Let this sit until it gets a bit frothy -5-10mins.... . 3. In a third bowl mix together 2.5c Rice flour, 2c Corn flour, 6tsp Apple Cider Vinegar and 4tsp of salt. . 4. Next, add the Psyllium and yeast mixture to the flour mixture and mix through. Start with a spoon, then use your hands to knead it into a dough ball. Knead until evenly mixed and smooth. . 5. Rub some olive oil on the interior of a metal or ceramic bowl and put the dough ball in there. Cover with a clean, damp tea towel or cloth and place in a warm place. I used my oven because it goes down to 35C. Leave for about an hour, or until doubled in size. . 6. Next, take the dough out, lightly flour a surface and knead the dough again for a few minutes. Divide in to balls for rolls, or loaf shape for bread loaves. Cut a slit on the top, if you want to. Place baking paper on an oven tray and put dough on there. Cover with a tea towel again, and leave for about another hour in a warm place, or until doubled in size. . 7. Heat oven to 230C Fan Forced. I patted the top of my rolls with a bit of olive oil. Bake for approx. 30mins, until firm, springy and golden. . Out of this recipe I made one loaf and 8 rolls. . Eat straight away, or freeze or store in a container or alfoil - heat or toast if you eat the next day. . #elevateyourself See more

17.01.2022 We are almost 4 weeks away from Summer, and I know most people shift to thinking more about their weight. . It is THE most common theme. . The majority of women (and men) I speak to have reported struggling this year with their weight and COVID changes, and most have gained some weight. ... . I will be holding a FREE webinar to assist you in understanding some KEY concepts surrounding weight changes and body composition. That is, how to maintain and build lean muscle mass, while dropping excess body fat. . I will also be keeping this theme surrounding my posts for the rest of the year. Ensuring I give you valuable ideas, education, recipes and motivation to help you focus and achieve your goals, while regaining some health and vitality. . Due to time differences across Australia, I have chosen to hold the event on a Saturday afternoon WA time, which will make it the evening across the Eastern states. I hope this timing works well for you to come on live. I will definitely make it worth it for you! . I will put up a post soon to capture your questions and greatest struggles so that I can answer them in the session, also! . Most information coming soon . #elevateyourself See more
16.01.2022 When we feed ourselves with the best food, the best thoughts, the best energy, the best words, the best people, the best activities...we become a fuller, happier, more peaceful, whole version of ourselves. . We can stand stronger, self-reliant, and independent, and have greater capacity to lift others. . Our personal confidence, strength and power is directly correlated with how much we can then serve, lift, encourage and bless other people.... . When we channel our purpose to that of lifting and filling other people's lives, our ability to find greatness within increases. . We want more for ourselves out of LOVE, not fear. We want to CHANGE out of LOVE, not fear. We try to be better out of LOVE, not fear. . We find ourselves GRATEFUL for our challenges, which we have reframed to make us stronger. We become grateful for imperfections and failings, because they teach us the most. . WE CHOOSE THE BEST PERSPECTIVE. The one that SERVES us and others. Not drains or destroys. . The choice is always in our own hands to be, live, think, vibrate and expend the very best energy that we can. . Never hand that power over to someone else. Never blame or sit in a victim mentality, immersed in self pity. It is the WORST place you can be!!!! . Choose to ACT. Never resign to being acted upon. . Choose to BE your best and then you will find yourself having manifested the very BEST of Yourself - Your relationships - And everything in Your LIFE AROUND YOU. ************************** Decide now! Think it, say it, act on it, do it, surround yourself with it and become it!!!!!! ************** #elevateyourself #bemore See more
16.01.2022 As promised, here is the date and time for the free 'weight loss' session. . I prefer using the term body composition, because you can gain weight in muscle, while also losing body fat - this is the goal of changing your body composition. Lower fat, higher muscle. . We should all be aiming for a low fat percentage for health and disease prevention, while working on building health-promoting muscle and strong metabolic function.... -There is no way around this, it is part of being a healthy human. . However, there are SO many questions, topics, confusions, conflicting information and a sea of problems within the Weight Loss industry! . So, I want to HELP you all...as SO many people have struggled with their weight this year. . This will be a session for answering your questions, and helping you understand some of the trickier components to reaching a healthy body composition. . I know it is coming up to holiday and Christmas season, but getting ahead of the game is what we all want! . I don't focus on starting on Monday, or in the new year. For me, if I want something, I start now. No excuses. Small steps forward are better than going backwards! Small steps accumulate allows for amazing success! . So, if you are in a hurry, impatient or want great results quickly... I totally hear you But, going about it in a smart, efficient way is what it should be about. . Put the date and Zoom info in you calendar! . Send me through, or comment, any questions or topics you want me to address!!! . #elevateyourself See more
09.01.2022 At home 'Subway'...Fresh and super delicious! . Family favourite. . GF Tortillas - warm in toaster. ... Chopped up salad Mustard mixed with Rice malt syrup (and a bit of water to loosen) BBQ Chicken - chopped up. Natural ham Coconut cheese . In a bowl, mix together the mustard, rice malt syrup and water. Taste as you go to check how you like it. Mine was roughly 1Tbs mustard, 2tsp of RMSyrup, and maybe 1-2Tbs water, but you'd need to multiply depending on the amount you're making. That would be roughly 2 small serves. Then, mix in the chopped up chicken with the Mustard sauce mix :) So yummmyyyy. . We used lettuce, cucumber, onion, olives, avocado as the salad. . Such a super easy, delicious dinner or lunch!!!! . The GF tortillas do, unfortunately, have preservatives. So, just watch for any reactions, from your children especially. . . #wraps #subway #glutenfree #dairyfree #familyfavourites #dinner See more

09.01.2022 ***The Best Porridge*** . 1/2c Forbidden Rice Flakes (Woolworths) 1c Water (maybe a bit extra) - Heat to make porridge -... . Then add: 2tsp Psyllium Husk 6 Dried Dates, chopped up/torn 30g Plant Protein Powder - Mix through - Add a bit more water if you need to. . Then add: 1/2c Berries 1/2c Apple, grated 1Tbs Tahini Coconut Milk :) . . So filling, and a good low GI breakfast that ticks all the boxes. Delicious High fibre whole foods High protein High antioxidants High vitamins and minerals Good fats Stabilises Blood Glucose Levels Gives you sustained energy . Just add a green vegie juice with it, and it's !!!! . Add extra water to begin with to make the porridge more watery than usual, as the psyllium husk and protein powder absorb a fair bit! :) . #elevateyourself See more
04.01.2022 Yesterday we set up, all cozy in Lily's room, in our PJs...with toys, blankets, pillows, books and games, screens and snacks... and we had the loveliest morning!!!! . Taking time to be cozy and 'lazy', napping, playing and relaxing is SO important for strong relationships and mental and physical health! . I wouldn't normally share such a 'personal' video, but it symbolises SOO much happiness and peace for me, and hearing the LAUGHTER of your kids would have to be the greeeaa...atest sound!!!! . So, I'm sharing this to remind all of you beautiful mummies to relax with your babies. Even if the house is a mess and there is work to be done, remember how important it is for you ALL to rest, play, nap, laugh and get cozy together. . Mums are often plagued with guilt about anything that they DO or DON'T DO, and it is sooo unhealthy. . The greatest memories and the strongest bonds of love are cultivated in the times when you're just BEING. JUST BE!!! Put that on the to do list . Xoxox Have a lovely start to your week!!! Love yourself and strive for peaceful confidence, and lots more smiles and laughter . #bouncingsoul #elevateyourself #laughmore #playmore #singmore #bemore See more
01.01.2022 Who else, in all their glorious busyness of life, just loves to get in their cozy clothes, make a hot drink and cuddle up with fluffy blankets? . But, who else often feels guilty about wanting to do that? Or, so in love with their life and busyness, that it is actually hard to stop...because you really don't want to. . We all need balance. We all need the stimulation, growth, excitement, and push! But, we all need to be soft, quiet, take the 'face' off, talk about our emotio...ns, maybe have a big nap or a cry, and embrace the Yin of life. . We grow and build some of our greatest ideas or personal characteristics in those quiet, deep moments... sometimes laying in the dark, or staring at the blank wall in the bath, or while you listen to the soft, slowing breaths of your baby while you cuddle them to sleep. . Sometimes, when the house is silent and I can only hear the clock ticking, I take deep, slowing breaths and although always tempted to focus on and fear everything I haven't done, everything yet to do, or everything I am yet to become... I just thank God for where I'm at. . The present is the most wonderful place to be. Filled with gratitude and love, and peaceful, all-trusting knowing. . Just trust that knowing. Everything is ok. You're ok. Everything you want, you can have. You will do the work you need to. You will ultimately be who you need and want to be. Perfection is based on perception. Literal perfection is not real. So don't expect it. Don't chase the end or the 'finish'. . Embrace the signs of continuous life, like neverending washing and dishes... because for so many people that cycle stops, much, much too soon. . Enjoy the constant movement, the constant flow of life, the constant demand for YOU to be. . You are so needed and so wanted by so many people. Sometimes that might feel heavy, but ultimately, it makes you a stronger, more divine version of yourself. . So, take a deep breath, brace up, and be grateful for that opportunity to show how strong you are, what you're made of and how much you have to give. But make sure you also take it all off and rest - because that is when you build the strength to be more . #bepresent See more
