24.01.2022 Following on from the rally last year to save Queensland timber industry an e-petition has been started to prevent the remaining state forest being converted into National Parks in 2026. These areas are timber reserves, grazing areas and recreational areas which means they are well managed and not locked up parks that encourage overgrowth of noxious weeds, limit control of feral animals and support huge fuel loads to burn when conditions are our country well into the future.

The role initially will involve docking and stacking timber, driving some heavy machinery and learning the basic workings of the sawmill.
