What do young students know (or not) about where food & fibre comes from Over 30% students surveyed didn’t know pasta was made from plant material Over 60% didn’t know denim cotton to make jeans was made from a plant product 1 in 6 students surveyed didn’t realize + were both animal products ... 1 in 4 didn’t know leather shoes were made from animal products BUT 59% of students said what they did know about food & fibre production came from teachers!
