04.01.2022 We spent an hour exploring the new @pskoalasanctuary It’s a great place to learn about koalas and the journey many make from rescue to release back into the wild. The on-site koala hospital has a large viewing window and the treetop boardwalk lets you get up close to rehabilitating koala. We didn’t do the overnight glamping experience, although next time we’re in the area we will definitely spend a night amongst the gums so we can do the early morning tour and see the keepers... tending the koalas. This experience is a great example of social enterprise at work - a collaboration between Port Stephens council and Port Stephens Koalas that will ensure sustainable funding for the koala hospital. It’s well worth a visit, and if you’re looking for a unique 4-star accommodation experience, then I think it’d be worth a try. #koalas #portstephens #lovensw #holidayherethisyear #australia #familytravel #animalrescue #socialenterprise #koalasanctuary #travelwithkids #familytraveller #funforthewholefamily #funforkids #seeaustralia
