16.01.2022 Hi all and sundry. Yes, I know. Haven't written much here as I have not been doing much except deal with general life and pain management clinics. Well, I have done something. I have started scroll sawing. What this means is cutting out a pattern in wood. Quit a lengthy process as heaps of cuts and in different places. So it's untentioning the blade, take an allen key and loosen the blade and then stick it through a drilled hole and doing the reverse buuuuut I love it. Total concentration and this will compliment my lathe work and go into new dimensions. Now I'm hoping to buy this scroll saw as it's a great and stable saw. My original Ryobi bounces all over the place so has to be clamped dome.

14.01.2022 Just a thought. One sees so many pens of all types and colours on the WWW (World Wide Web) but sees so few good ones. Cheap kits, cheap to expensive pricing so it must be a nightmare of where to go to buy a good, well made pen. The pens for sale come with dodgy refills etc. Now, the pens I make are made with attention to detail, made with love as I love making them and with quality kits and hardware sourced from all over the world and not just China. Decent refills like Parke...r, Cross and nibs. If you wish a special nib, I'll source it and fit it to your fountain pen. I can even supply gold nibs although the steel nibs are very good these days. Not saying there is no market for cheap pens. There is, but please don't compare my hardware and pens with those pens. I haven't been posting many pictures as I had been becoming a bit despondent. But I am giving it a go. I have started up an Etsy shop called BoutiquePenStudio. Come and visit. Only have 2 items but am building as I wish it to be a well built shop with good foundations. Also, as I have been supporting Rozi with her studies, a lot of responsibilities have fallen on my shoulders giving me little time in my workshop. I have been restoring some antique furniture as well which took a long time. I have also gone into power carving and loving it. I have finished 2 projects (On Etsy) and am busy with five more. I am busy with a wall art and trivets. So please be patient and if you have something special you wish made give me a call or send an email. At the moment I'm building, of my design, an earring stand from Silky Oak, Brazilian Walnut and Red River Gum for my son's girlfriend. Taking my time as I wish it to be perfect. Enjoy you day and week. Kind regards. Roger

13.01.2022 C'mon fellas. We've all done it

12.01.2022 Hi all. It's been a busy time for me. I have repaired some chairs, a table, done some concrete work, cut up a tree that had fallen and am in the lengthy process of rebuilding my trailer. While doing the trailer a lot of repeat work as I'm learning welding which I was able to help myself but not as fine as running a solid bead which has to be perfect as I do not wish the trailer to fall apart while I'm towing it along the highway with a load on. And so the year 2019 is ending and 2020 will start tomorrow and thankfully my head won't be sore. I wish all my friend to have a wonderful night and a prosperous blessed New Year. See you next year which sounds like a long time from now. God bless you.
