We continue to maintain our revised COVID-19 operating policy to ensure the safety of our staff & visitors. All NON ESSENTIAL visits are being diverted to phone appointments. We will txt you an appointment confirmation which you can use as proof that you are leaving home to travel for an essential service Please call on arrival for staff assistance as our entry door will remain locked to enable our staff to monitor the max 3 person limit in our wait area at any given time for social distancing purposes, and to allow for the high touch points to be cleaned before & after each visit. Effective from 11.59PM on 05/08/2020 In line with the Government & State directives for stage 4 restrictions, and in accordance with advice from relevant health authorities we wish to advise that BOUTIQUE AUTO BODY will remain open to repair vehicles for corporate & permitted workers only under stage 4 restrictions. All other repairs can be continued after the stage 4 restrictions end on... the 13th September 2020. The operational changes currently in place enable us to continue to assist our permitted clients with claims/vehicle repairs whilst ensuring we are following all stage 4 directives. We continue to take a range of precautionary actions designed to help mitigate the spread of the virus within our business and aim to protect the ongoing health of our visitors and staff and operate with a COVID Safe Plan in place. To ensure that we comply with the stage 4 restrictions and can meet your requirements all ON SITE visits for permitted workers are strictly by appointment only (during the hours below). Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic), Section 20, Clause 6 (1) (Viii) Leaving premises to obtain necessary goods and services where it states that a person can leave a premises to obtain goods and services provided by: (viii) a retail facility that is not prohibited from operating by the Restricted Activity Directions. Further, our industry body, the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) has also forwarded urgent correspondence stating industry concern regarding the confused messaging from Victoria Police to the Office of the Minister for Police, The Hon Lisa Neville MP. VACC has been provided with advice back from the Office of the Minister for Police that states: VACC is correct in that the automotive trade is not being prohibited from work or opening, so staff can work, and customers engage as appropriate and consistent with the CHO requirements around density quotients and physical distancing. Accordingly, the Office of the Minister for Police has provided VACCs correspondence to the Chief Commissioners office to ensure it informs the ongoing messaging to police members during this time. In addition, police officers are not meant to be stopping people from travelling for work or restricting trade of businesses that can and should remain open as long as they are maintaining density quotients and physical distancing.
