24.01.2022 A very happy 30th birthday to my sister in law If you can see the little biscuit at the bottom..plus 30 years I was so disappointed when this topper arrived as I’d ordered the wrong item. I just wanted ‘Mary Lou’ and nothing age related, but as anticipated by her daughters, she loved it!!! So what was initially a fail ended up being quite fabulous We were all so happy restrictions were eased today so we could see each other ... Bottom 2 layers were white chocolate and raspberry with lemon curd (a bit runny but delicious nonetheless) and vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream. Top 2 layers were chocolate with coffee buttercream. Where I was able to truly relax My kids were soooo excited to be coming back to @oceanbluecoastalretreats Mount Martha retreat and they had a lot of fun.... For me: No cooking Kids happy Pool Hubby relaxed and in holiday mode No devices Not far to travel Pet friendly 4pm happy hour What more could I want?! Take me back please!! I’m always thinking of baking and my next cake but I knew if I wanted to switch off 100% I had to literally switch my phone off so I was not distracted. 15.01.2022 FUNDRAISER CUPCAKES On the 15th of September the caking community are banding together for a collaboration with the aim to support, raise funds and spread awareness to the horrible truths that beautiful children all over the world are currently being exploited, abused, trafficked, tortured and raped. Cupcakes will be a 6 cupcake box mixture of chocolate and vanilla with rainbow colours (similar to what’s pictured if you swipe) with the addition of lollies.... Rainbows, why rainbows? Because as you know after every storm (what these beautiful children are going through), there is a rainbow. Let’s help support the amazing work of Project Rescue Children to be that rainbow for them. $15 from every box of cupcakes ($10 is to cover costs) will be donated to Project Rescue Children. 08.01.2022 13 years ago you arrived on your due date It was a scorcher of a day too 9 months earlier we’d just returned from our honeymoon and found out we were expecting!! The happiest moment of my life. Just married my wonderful man and then we were going to have a baby very soon! I actually can’t believe we have a teenager! It’s gone very fast ... 01.01.2022 Our dog Fonzarelli (Fonzie) turned 3 today so of course I made him a cake! This was a dog friendly carrot cake with peanut butter. The frosting was whipped mashed potato with a small amount of natural yoghurt, with a gravy drip. This cake was inspired by a cake made by @cake_for_days_aus who made a cake for their fur baby. I thought mash potato frosting and gravy drip was such a good idea for a pup cake ... I tried to get a much better shot of our fur baby in front of his cake waiting patiently but with 3 excited kids that was impossible!
