I raced down from Perth and have searched all night and half of today for him with no luck he is a beautiful boy but is very timid if any ppl on this page are down that way can you please share this everywhere. We are hoping he is lost and not injured assuming lost as he ran and ran. I'm hoping to find different groups to share this on and I've had no sleep since yesterday morning so if I don't respond to any msgs I will once I wake up. Hoping to head back out there this afternoon with food and water for him. I do believe Opi is trying to make his way home but with no confirmed sightings we are just hoping this will happen and until then we keep going looking for him Hi everyone here is Opi he was involved in a car crash last night (Tuesday 21.1.20) 8pm along brockman highway between nannup and karridale he's my son's dog and my son got out to help his passenger and opi ran off in a southerly direction towards Augusta. I raced down from Perth and have searched all night and half of today for him with no luck he is a beautiful boy but is very timid if any ppl on this page are down that way can you please share this everywhere. We are hoping he is lost and not injured assuming lost as he ran and ran. I'm hoping to find different groups to share this on and I've had no sleep since yesterday morning so if I don't respond to any msgs I will once I wake up. Hoping to head back out there this afternoon with food and water for him. Opi is not desexed. You can't see his tail in pics but he has a long thick (hair) tail. 03.01.2022 Yesterday I had the opportunity to talk Psoas with an orthopedic surgeon in Europe who reached out to me about this mysterious tissue. When I told him I thought... psoas was a messenger he said "of course psoas is a messenger from guts... ovaries.. kidney... brain circulation.. because of connections with the parasympathetic.. it also receives messages..when its degenerative or atrophied it consequently distends nerves that pass through the psoas... n. iliohipogastricus.. ilioinguinalis... genitofemoralic.. cutaneus fem lat.. n.femoralis..n.obduratorius .. it has an influence on the circulation of gut and enlargement of its wall - what directly involves neuroendocrine cells for the production serotonin in the gut..." This surgeon confirms what I have spoken about for 43 years...that psoas can become "dry" (exhausted) and shrink (atrophy) when it has substituted or been used to over-stabilize the core. Stretching does not create healthy psoas whereas hydrating through micro-movements and increasing the bio-intelligence of the proprioceptive system, especially found within the bones...does allow psoas to flourish. 03.01.2022 PELVIS TENSEGRITY The pelvis is the center of gravity and the largest bony complex in the human body. The pelvis and sacrum are linked via strong ligaments ...and muscles, creating a tension system that works with the compression-bearing bones to create a local tensegrity system. These ligaments are visualized in the picture, they include the posterior SI ligaments (Iliotransversosacral, Axile, Zaglas, Bichat), anterior SI ligaments, the iliolumbar ligaments and the sacrotuberous and sacrospinous ligaments. Locally, these ligaments need to have balanced tension to maintain SI joint integrity and normal bone positions in space. If one of these ligaments is injured and loses its optimal tension/quality, disruption of the tensegrity balance ensues. This leads to increased compression stress in the pelvis/SI and hip joints, but also leads to distortion of the global tensegrity of the body. For example, in the picture we can see a normal, balanced pelvis icosahedron on the left with the horizontal balance beams through L4 and the greater trochanter did the femurs. On the right, we can see the consequence of an injury to the right SI joint/ligament complex. This leads to pelvic and sacral shifting, unleveling of L3 (blue dot) and functional scoliosis, anterior-inferior shift of the left ilium, valgus stress in the left knee, and pronation stress in the left foot-ankle. The white arrow represents the downward compressive force of gravity. If the tensegrity is balanced, the body can adequately resist gravity without breakdown. Disruption of this tensegrity system is the source of joint degeneration and pain, all results of decreased space/compression in the joints. This is but one example of how loss of connective tissue tension/quality leads to compression stresses as well as local and global distortions of the tensegrity system. This is an evolving situation to which we will continue to respond appropriately, learning and adapting as new information is made available. ? At this time Bowen Training Australia plans to hold all 2020 courses as scheduled and in line with current government advice. The situation will be monitored on a weekly basis and communications will be sent to instructors, students and practitioners as the situation evolves. If you have any questions, please contact the BTA office or your instructor. ? 1. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub. 2. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at home, work and in class, especially when someone is ill. 3. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids and eat nutritious foods. 4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. 5. Practise respiratory etiquette when coughing/sneezing and sneeze or cough into the elbow or tissue and ensure your nose and mouth are covered at all times. 6. Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms. 7. Stay home or away from class if you are sick. 8. Send your clients home if they are sick. 9. Support and boost your immune system. 10. Bowen yourself and others. 11. If attending class, please ensure you bring the following items with you: i) Hand sanitiser or hand wipes ii) Hospital grade disinfectant or similar to wipe beds, stool etc. iii) Clean linen i.e. sheet, towels, face towels or disposables are even better. There is a lot of anxiety and distress in the community at present. As Bowen therapists we have the tools to assist the community by practising Bowen therapy, being well informed and staying safe ourselves.
