Final score 31-16 Congratulations to Mick Cooper 2020 Minor Singles Champion.

12.01.2022 TOUGHER GUIDELINES FOR COMMUNITY SPORT NSW Health has issued new recommendations for community sport. At this stage the Public Health Order or COVID-19 Safety... Plans are not being changed to reflect this, however this may change if community transmission continues or increases. These recommendations should be implemented by 19 August and will be in place for the next six weeks, with a view to extend if required. Cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions, for example by ceasing zone, regional or state championships or competition e.g. activities which bring together participants (including spectators and officials) from organisations in different regions of Sydney, from a rural area into a metro area and vice versa, and movement between different rural areas Cease any activities that result in overnight stays (e.g. multi-day training camps) due to increased risk of COVID transmission in residential-type settings with shared facilities Cease face-to-face social activities relating to community sports (e.g. award ceremonies, end-of-season social gatherings, post-training group dinners) Avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups where possible For local activities, limit spectators to one parent only, where the child requires parental supervision during the sporting activity

11.01.2022 Please see information below in regards to if you need to get tested or just monitor for symptoms depending if you have been at any of the venues mentioned

10.01.2022 Hi Bowlers , Bowls NSW has proposed some changes to Conditions of Play for the new season upcoming. The most notable is the proposed change to the Singles Matches and I quote directly from their web page as follows. - Change all Association matches (unless otherwise stated within event COP) from first to score 31 shots (31 up) to score 21 (21 up ). - Based on feedback,(I have never been asked to comment prior to this article being written)this change is proposed to help with:... - Align State events with National and International scoring - Enable,if desired, to play Singles events in sectional play, which may also alleviate the need for host venues to supply markers (is the supply of markers really a basis for change ?) -Reduce amount of time player is required when playing multiple matches per day. The circular is dated the 24 August 2020 and the closing date for comments and submissions is the 25th September 2020. As this proposal is based on feedback from Zone administrators and Individuals (Not Club Members as a Collective who will be affected by change they may not or don't agree with .) In the meantime have a look at the proposals on Bowls NSW website as there are many others . More to come

04.01.2022 The Final of the Open Pairs was also played on Sunday 2nd August between David and Dean Govan and Dave Wayland and Tony Atcheson. In a game played with great intensity as you would expect, the Govan cousins pairing prevailed to win by 3 shots. Well played to both teams . Final score 21-18 . Congratulations to the 2020 Open Pairs Champions... David Govan and Dean Govan See more

04.01.2022 The Final of the Club Fours was played on Sunday 16th August. All credit goes out to the side of Craig Deasey, Ray Smith, Terry Lockwood and Noel France who made it to the finals as a reconstituted side due to the original skipper pulling out. The game started out fairly evenly but Bill Hopelys consistent leading gave them the upper hand and Gav Kellys side of Brad Unsted, Shane Giles and Bill Hopley ran out eventual winners 26-16 on what was a hard days bowls given the windy conditions.

01.01.2022 The Major Singles Final was played out between Grant Boyce and David Govan. It was a game of brilliant draw bowls by both players keeping the scoreline very tight for the bulk of the game. Grant kept Gov honest throughout but Gov found a little extra to win what was a brilliant game by both players. Score was 31-20
