Joined by Member for Wollondilly Nathaniel Smith MP and South Western Sydney Local Health District senior executives, the Minister also invited our youngest guest on the day, Brooke Lees, to be part of the plaque unveiling to celebrate the milestone something Brooke is sure to remember for decades to come! The winners of our Colours of the Highlands photo competition were also acknowledged on the day, with their stunning images now displayed proudly in the building’s entry foyer. #BowralUpdate

12.01.2022 VISITOR INFORMATION | We are easing visitor restrictions as of today, in time for Christmas. New visiting hours are now in place and patients can have two visitors at one time. While visitor restrictions have relaxed, volunteers are yet to return to our hospital, the exception to this is pastoral care visitors such as a minister or priest who are now welcome to visit patients. To keep everyone safe, please maintain 1.5m physical distancing while at our hospital and if you are sick, please don't visit.

Featuring state-of-the-art amenities and a contemporary design, the new $68.7 million clinical services building provides additional capacity for the community to receive the highest level of quality health care. The purpose-built facility includes a new emergency department, new operating theatres, adult and paediatri...c inpatient wards, bariatric rooms, new rehabilitation spaces and four negative pressure rooms to support infection control. There are also amenities for families with relatives in palliative care, increased birthing facilities for expectant mums, and a building design that ensures rooms have plenty of natural light and views of the beautiful Highlands landscape.
