25.01.2022 A fantastic spring day for our riders to come back and train at Bong Bong. It was wonderful to see the arenas being ridden on. The club will continue to open the grounds on the second Saturday of the month FREE to our members. 24.01.2022 Message to all NSW dressage clubs and riders/owners/trainers from DNSW DNSW know that there are many of you anxiously anticipating a return to competition. The ...COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a shutdown of competition and a huge disruption to the lives of so many. As we gradually move towards the resumption of competition, our main priority must be the safety of riders, owners, trainers, judges, pencillers, stewards, and organisers, as well as the public. The FEI has issued a policy for risk-assessment for return to equestrian sports and discipline-specific guidelines for competitions will be provided soon. Equestrian Australia has advised that they plan to issue COVID-19 safety guidelines in early June for a return to equestrian sport. DNSW aims to apply these guidelines in conjunction with federal and state government, as well as health authority guidelines, so that we can develop a plan for a return to dressage competition. We expect to accomplish this in a step-wise fashion and will keep you updated as to our progress. 24.01.2022 Bowral Dressage - an update on our next few dates for 2020.. Sunday 2nd August CUR Event - Due to the continuing COVID19 pandemic we have cancelled this date. Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September - This date will not be our championships but we are still finalising details regarding running an event/training day on this weekend, so stay tuned for more details soon! Our events and training days we will be following all COVID safety precautions as directed by NSW Health, ENSW and DNSW as they become available. Event Program may changed depending on COVID requirements.

22.01.2022 After much consultation, we are sorry to announce that both our September 5 Training Day and September 6 Official Competition has been cancelled due to the uncertainty and ever changing developments of COVID-19 restrictions. We understand the disappointment and frustration that many riders are feeling at this time and will be offering full refunds, with the Club absorbing the Nominate surcharge on entries. The Committee would also like to extend our membership until January 1st, 2022. Stay well, keep training and we hope to see you back at Bong Bong in December!!

Ken posh trotted off to Bowral Dressage yesterday to do some Elementary tests. He was super to come second in both tests and I was so pleased to break the 70% barrier in very good company.... 16.01.2022 Can you believe it’s been nearly twelve months since you heard Dave was going to Europe to ride for the Patrik & Lyndal? The trip was cut short due to Covid but what an experience! Lyndal recently posted this... Miss this legend! Not only an amazing person and rider .. but also a humble one.. basically had to force it out of him that he got 90%this past weekend with a young horse back home! And his wife Robbie Who rode Ross for me over Christmas also smashed it! We need more people like you in this world Dave .. actually no .. we just need you! Sunday was a successful day for our young horses at Bowral Dressage Club!... ADMIRAL MI (Argentinus x Aber Sienna MI x Aber Hallo 29) won the 4 year old class on 76.6% with Kate FONTAINE MI (Aber Hallo 29 x For Joy x Fabriano) ridden by @jte1989 had a great start to the season, wrapping up his first show in second place with a score of 78.8% Congratulations also to our team coach John Thompson for winning the Grand Prix with JHT Chemistry on 72.02% Thanks goes to Bowral Dressage Club for putting on a great (and Covid safe) event! 13.01.2022 We are going to try again!!! Our next Event date is Sunday 18th October, full program from prep to Grand Prix including younghorse!!!! There will also be a training day on Saturday 17th October. Our Event is currently running under COVID19 restrictions and will be open to riders and support crew from the following regions: Wingecarribee, Wollondilly, Goulburn Mulwaree, Hilltops, Illawarra , South Coast, Canberra/ACT... With current restrictions being reviewed at the end of the month, we are hoping to open the event to our Greater Sydney riders and will notify riders via our Facebook page and website. 13.01.2022 EQUESTRIAN AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCEMENT Earlier today, the Equestrian Australia (EA) Board announced that it had voluntarily appointed an administrator, in response t...o solvency concerns, following the re-allocation of Sport Australia high performance funding from EA to the Australian Institute of Sport. This will have minimal impact of Equestrian NSW, which is financially secure, has a stable Board and Office Team and is working towards the return of equestrian competitions post COVID-19. The Equestrian NSW Board wants to assure members, coaches and clubs that the current Gow Gates insurance cover will apply until 30 Jun 20 and appropriate cover will be in place ready for 1 Jul 20. Further details will be advised soon. FY2021 member renewals are going ahead with many members renewing before the extended 30 Sep 20 deadline, which is very much appreciated. We are super excited for the Sth Coast Young Rider Charlotte Phillips & look forward to watching her & the beautiful Desi together Here’s what Charlotte had to say...... Des and I had fantastic day at Bowral Dressage Club Inc today, which was our second event together, and did really well! We rode the PSG (68.90% and 1st place) and Inter 1 (66.76% and 2nd place) tests for the first time - and I am just so happy with these results!... 06.01.2022 BDC Members only Training Day - Saturday 12th September: We understand that many of our members are wanting to get their horses out. We are therefore opening the arenas of Bong Bong on the second Saturday of each month starting this Saturday, September 12, from 9.30 12.30pm. This is FREE for all BDC members starting with Wingecarribee residents only, in keeping with the current NSW Health guidelines. We are hoping that we can open this to all members as restrictions ease... and will keep you updated. Those riders interested in visiting the grounds Saturday morning need to fill out the form below and by 4pm Friday. You will then be emailed an arena time slot. Riders can bring one support person, coaches are also welcome.
