16.01.2022 High Tea Time Year 8 Food Tech boys have completed a semester long unit where they explored the history of tea, sandwiches and afternoon tea. A 'High Tea Finale' for the students' parents was unable to go ahead because of COVID restrictions. Luckily Year 8 Advisor Ms McPherson, Ms Smith and Ms Riches were happy to sample the tea and delicious treats the boys prepared. #lovewhereyoulearn

09.01.2022 TEACHERS IN VET TRAINING FOR BOWRAVILLE EDUCATION CAMPUS (BEC). Five of our talented teachers elected to be retrained in Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses to expand the subject offerings at BEC. This means the teachers train in their framework as well as gain a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. The teachers are retraining in the following: Ms Reinten BSB20115 Cert II in Business Services Mr Symonds - SIS30519 Cert III in Sports Coaching Ms Tuffin FSK20113... Cert II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways Ms Kete AHC Cert II Primary Industries Agriculture/ Horticulture Mr Le Cerf OCT30118 Cert III In Information, Digital Media and Technology Ms Wilson is also updating her qualifications in Cert II 20316 Hospitality Food and Beverage These VET subjects are in addition to CPC20211 Construction and Hospitality, currently running at BCS. To assist with their concentration our current Hospitality students Jayminya and Clay delivered espresso coffees, raisin toast, toasties and café style bacon and egg rolls.
