IN ACTION Box It Forward Animal Aid is a wonderful animal rescue who ARC Gladesville NSW Hub have had the pleasure of supplying companion animal food to recently. This is food supplies from ARC, Petbarn and #Petbarnfoundation getting to where it is needed. Here is Maria from Box It Forward Animal Aid: In 2017 I went over to the Philippines on a holiday and was truly saddened by the amount of stray, neglected dogs begging for food, too sick to move or paralyzed after being hit by a vehicle, dogs that once had owners, but were abandoned due to sickness or they got a puppy instead. I promised myself when I returned to Australia I would do something for those dogs. So when I returned I contacted people that could help me source the things I needed to fill the boxes and so Box It Forward Animal Aid was created. BIFAA takes donated items, food that is near its use by date, second hand dog coats, bowls no longer needed, toys that are no long used and many more things and box them up and send them over to the dogs/cats that are in shelters and rescues. Sometimes it can just be to a kind hearted human that cannot bear to see them (I know some people that have 40 dogs in their backyards) roaming the streets, begging for food, sick or with mange, neglected or maybe injured. Items that would otherwise go to land fill, be thrown in the bin or end up in a box in the garage. As the saying goes, one dogs junk is another dogs treasure!!
