25.01.2022 I ran a logo class for the cutest little designers ever! This was part of the ‘Family Input’, for their daycare. I showed an example of some logos and we talked about the colours and shapes used to make them unique. Then they went about making their own!! Fostering a love of the arts from a young age is so important, I loved seeing them creating! Also great for their fine motor skills. (Pictures used with consent).

24.01.2022 The completed logo for Mt Carmel Retreat Centre, a professional, contemporary conference & retreat centre, set in the scenic hills of the Macarthur region. The Retreat Centre is owned by the Discalced Carmelite Friars, and run in collaboration with YMT Australia. Gaby has been working with YMT to rebrand the centre and will be re-launching their website in the next couple of days!

09.01.2022 We recently designed the Gifts of Hope logo for the CatholicCare Christmas Appeal. This appeal supports people doing it tough in our community including children in Foster Care, people living with disability, socially isolated seniors, families in need, siblings with a disability and youth in Juvenile Justice. 08.01.2022 Who else loves matching stationary Business cards, envelopes & post card flyers have arrived! This is our latest logo & branding project for Wollongong Strata, the client loves how it all came together! DESIGN WHICH STANDS APART Currently the Strata industry in the Illawarra is pretty much all branded with blue, black and red. Wanting to choose fresh colours, we went with lime green & purple. Not your typical colour palette, but it gives a fresh burst of colour, disr...upting the status quo & stands out from the crowd. Originally the client wanted to include the text ‘100% local’ in the logo, but it was getting a bit wordy so we created a badge to go with the branding. GRAPHIC ELEMENTS In the logo mark, the bar gives reference to the building/Strata aspect of the business, whilst the circle shows inclusiveness and togetherness, an abstract reference to the Tagline. 06.01.2022 How is everyone going with their business? What adaptions have you made to keep going in this current crisis? Being an affectionate extrovert from a big family (Gaby here ), I’m finding it a bit strange & difficult. I mostly work from home anyway, but not seeing family, hugging people, making random small talk with strangers, eye contact & a smile in the shopping centre, it feels so isolating & weird! That is the immediate shock to the system, with the bigger picture loo...ming, of peoples jobs and livelihoods disappearing. Thankfully, working mostly online and in communications, our work hasn’t slowed much. A lot of small businesses we work with have been hit really hard though. Let us know how you’re coping (or not coping) in this time. There may be ideas and information we can all share with each other to help businesses continue to run. 04.01.2022 New logo and stationary for PDC Lawyers and Town Planners. Their old logo felt dated and too corporate. We based this design closely off their original logo to keep their brand recognition. We freshened up the shapes and fonts to bring the design more in line with their business identity; approachable and down to earth, professional but not overly ‘corporate suit’. This is the start of the new branding, more stationary, office signage and other business collateral to come!!

He thought it was so funny when I told him mummy had designed it.
