They might not win the beauty contest today but... did you know they are grown in Coffs Harbour with no chemicals, are sweeter due to slower ripening and have low food miles? Winning! Major supermarkets supply bananas from North Queensland, which have to be grown with lots of fungicides and pesticides due to the high humidity. They also ripen quickly in the sun and don’t have as much time to develop flavour. And of course, they have higher food miles. The case for Coffs is officially closed!

Thank you to @bd_thirroul for introducing me to Bialetti Brikka, can’t live without him anymore Of course I have been experimenting with Box Divvy’s @blackmarketroasters coffee and its different grinds. After extensive research, I’m ready to share my findings: my personal favourite is half Liberty Blend espresso grind, topped with the Decaf plunger grind. If you’re like me, you will drink the contents of the Brikka ...yourself, which is really meant for two people. The decaf will lower the caffeine content while tasting super delicious, with caramel and chocolate notes. The plunger grind stops the espresso grind below it from clogging the fine filter and no grinds will get into your coffee. The result is strong, thick black espresso that won’t hopefully make you bounce off the walls. (So you can have another one later, ha ha) You’re welcome!
