18.01.2022 Leftover bananas??? 1) First of all FREEZE them...best flavour for smoothies/banana bread are frozen then thawed (I know they look discussing thawed but best flavour for baking and shakes) 2) This recipe is brilliant and totally healthy! 15.01.2022 Put our Beetroot (from shop a few weeks ago) on the Bbq to cook last night...it was so Smokey and delicious...kids ate with a dollup of sour cream on top...leftovers went into today’s lunchtime green smoothie...or should I say red smoothie!

15.01.2022 **FUN FACT ABOUT VALENCIA ORANGES** NEW SEASON Valencia Oranges - Grown in Florida & Australia Named as Valencia's in honour of the fact that way back then (in the 1800's) Spain was the centre of the citrus world. Valencia's are the ONLY citrus grown over summer. They have a green hue that makes then appear unripe BUT the greener they are, the more sun they have had which = the sweeter they'll be!

Here are some ideas... * I bought some netted bags online this week to try from Activated Eco - 8 for $19.95 * Drop containers, pillow slips, netted bags when you pick up for the following week. If I don’t have something to pack into it will go loose into your produce box. Trying to keep all our packaging to a minimum! Every bit helps the environment

05.01.2022 Sweet Potato! My favourite (and easiest) recipe is to roast them whole with some olive oil, salt & pepper...then serve a little smashed with a (rinsed) tin of chickpeas, diced tomatoes, parsley, lemon juice + zest and some Smokey paprika on top...ALWAYS A HIT!

02.01.2022 There is still a glut of red cabbages so START ORDER here we come Lasts for weeks & weeks and goes so well with fruit in a salad...apples, oranges, pears all work! Cabbage, pear & feta a fave in my house topped with roasted pine nuts...yummo A rustic Coleslaw to use up lots of veges also gets a at our dinner table.
