25.01.2022 Today's round was an Adelaide. http://scores.bhca.net.au/round_info.php

25.01.2022 Had to do a bit of reinforcement on a target with a brand new Danage Domino XHD centre. Some compound shooters grouping a bit too well.

25.01.2022 Here are the target allocations for today’s Whitehorse Trophy. You’ll also find them up next to the front door.

24.01.2022 A big thanks to those who came to the first working bee in preparation for the Whitehorse Trophy! Yesterday we installed new foam into our targets so they're ready for the tournament, as well as replacing timber facings and framework. Just a reminder, our next working bee is Saturday 28th September. Line marking and target allocation into the various shooting lanes are on the agenda, with final checks of the targets for any issues that were missed yesterday. If you are ...able to help out, please come down. We'll likely be starting at 9am and working through to about midday. Below are some photos of yesterday's working bee.

23.01.2022 We're allowed back on the grounds today, but can have 10 people only. If you plan to come, sign up here: https://doodle.com/poll/qa732edb852ffttz If we have more than 10, the ones not on the list will have to leave :-( Hopefully, we'll soon be allowed more people.

23.01.2022 The forecast is for rain this afternoon, maybe from 1pm onwards, so if you want to get your archery fix today, get on down here now. Ground has been set up and is ready to go. Those of you wanting to shoot the round, it’s a Brisbane. http://scores.bhca.net.au/round_info.php?roundid=3

22.01.2022 An announcement regarding Box Hill City Archers social media... As many of you know, I handle all the social media on the club's Facebook page. In the last few weeks, I have posted club content on my own LinkedIn and Twitter accounts - with ENORMOUS amounts of success on both platforms! The success from the content I am posting however, is mainly been consumed from people interstate and overseas. This has made me take the decision to move Box Hill City Archers' social media o...ver to Instagram. Below is the link to my own Instagram account, which I will exclusively use for club content. This content will be EXACTLY the same as the content on my LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. I know that members of the club (and others in the wider community) are unfamiliar with Twitter, and only use LinkedIn for professional reasons. Well this account will allow you to consume content that's different from what's on the club page. I want to thank you for consuming the content on the Facebook page. I hope this Instagram account will gain us more local followers, have more people enrolling in our beginners courses, and result in more enquires from the local community about our great sport. Please keep consuming, and get in touch with me either on a Sunday (or via Facebook) if you want to follow me on my other social media. Cheers, Michael Reilly #BHCArchers #Archery #SundayArchery #Instagram https://www.instagram.com/michaelreillybhca/

21.01.2022 Box Hill City Archers would like to present you all with a blast from the past... Some of our past club members had a small BHCA reunion at the Nationals in Morwell on the weekend. Now living in Geelong, he is a member of Geelong Archers.... 21.01.2022 Whitehorse Council has notified us all use of their various sports grounds is suspended until further notice. So no shooting until the ban has been lifted. Stay safe.

20.01.2022 Today's shoot summed up in pictures. Michael got a new bow and had to estimate his 30m sight setting. He got it wrong and clipped the wood at the top of the target, shattering one of his Pro Tours. Leonie shot her first 60.

19.01.2022 Well the waters were rising on Sparks Reserve on Saturday, but I reckon this was overly optimistic. Come back with a kayak?

14.01.2022 All set up now.

14.01.2022 An update regarding our social media presence, Since June 2018, I voluntarily took on the role as social media coordinator for the club. I launched our Twitter account in the first few weeks of taking on this role, and in recent weeks I setup an Instagram account. Due to the lack of followers on Twitter and the constant issues with our Instagram account, I have reluctantly decided to only keep our Facebook page. I believe until we get a younger demographic member wise - as w...ell as more numbers in the club - Facebook will be more than enough for our social media. I understand this is a disappointment - I know lots of you were excited by the prospect of our social media wings broadening. And when I first took on this role, I had high expectations for the ideas I had planned. But I feel the ideas I have are a little big for us - at least at this stage. I'd like to thank the committee members - particularly club president Vince for allowing me to have this opportunity - and the freedom to make decisions with thier guidance and advice. I'd like to thanks the rest of you around the club for your continued support also. I feel it's time I have a re-think and re-assess on how we handle our social media presence as a club. I will still be posting updates from Archery360, Archery Victoria, and Archery Australia, as well as updating constantly about what's happening around the club. For those members who follow our page, but have not joined our Facebook group - search for Box Hill City Archers under groups. To those of you who are not members - thanks for following us! If any of you wish to talk about any ideas you have, please see me at the club. Kind regards, Michael Reilly.
