11.01.2022 Check out a little snippet from The DMC Mixtape #2 (BC1 2020) by Box Hill Institute Music. In Beat Cypher 1 the students are making short songs each week with varying restrictions. Our last two weeks are mixtapes, hence the restriction was a tempo. For our final up-tempo mixtape, the students collectively voted on 128bpm. After a lot more punishing restrictions in prior weeks, this was a chance for the class to let loose with their favourite styles and techniques. They a...lso got to choose the name of their outfit, so we present The DMC, AKA "The Democracy Manifest Collective".
