12.01.2022 We are here for you, for incidents big or small... A little boy came into our clinic with a deep wound on his forehead, after falling off his scooter. Our doctor took care of him well, giving him dissolvable internal stitches(which don't require removal) and glued the wound together to minimise scars. The bleeding was stopped and he is now ready to go out and play again!

11.01.2022 From 11.59pm today, all Victorians must wear a fitted face mask when they leave home. You must wear a fitted face mask that covers the nose and mouth. This means that face shields, bandanas, or scarves or loose snoods, loose buffs or loose neck gaiters on their own will no longer be considered a sufficient face covering. Box Hill Superclinic is giving away FREE reusable mask to those patients who are vulnerable and are unable to afford or source their own mask. Please also... share the information out if you come across anyone who may not able to get hold of acceptable face mask due to their current condition. Please call Superclinic at 9899 8668 If you need any further information. Stay Safe.

08.01.2022 Have you done a skin check yet? Every year, Skin Cancers(SCC, BCC and Melanoma), accounts for 80% of all new cancer diagnosis for Australians. These cancers are most commonly caused by exposure to the sun - it can happen whilst at the beach, the park or even during winter! Take notice of any new moles, or moles which have changed in size, colour or shape. If you notice any changes or have concerns make sure you discuss your concerns with your GP. If they find anything concern...ing they can perform a skin biopsy to diagnose any conditions or diseases. Below shows the procedure for the removal of a skin cancer called Basal Cell Carcinoma(BCC) which ended successfully. Most moles are harmless but it is always important to get them checked just in case! *Images taken with permission **Statistics taken from the Cancer Council
