24.01.2022 CLUB APPOINTMENT UPDATE #BoxHillUnited are pleased to confirm Mars Koslowsky as the 2021 club technical director, who has highlighted a bigger responsibility in the right club to perform this role. From #PortoAlegre, #Brazil, Koslowsky will continue in his third year at #WembleyPark, having previously been our U/15 and U/18 boys’ head coach. ... Now wearing a new hat at Box Hill for the upcoming season, Koslowsky said, It’s a club with a great reputation for the development of young players. I feel very motivated to contribute to the process, as we have so many talented players in our junior NPL boys’ and girls’ squads, and with the quality of our coaching staff for the 2021 season. Definitely, being a TD is very different from only being in charge of your own squad of players. The responsibility is bigger when you conduct a process for the whole club. But it is a good challenge and I am confident I am in the right club to perform this role. A Sports Science graduate from #Porto #University, Koslowsky was involved with some of South American football’s biggest names. He oversaw scouting and football development strategies at Brazilian outfit #ClubAthleticoParanaense. Between 2015 and 2017, he was senior assistant coach with three Paraguayan clubs, including at #ClubDeportivoCapiata during their 2017 #CopaLibertadores campaign. Koslowsky previously shouldered youth coaching and technical director roles looking after U/10s’ to U/20s’ grades at hometown club #GremioFBPA. With new competition age-groups to be introduced for #NPL junior boys and girls in 2021, Koslowsky is taking heart that this would be a positive step to maximise player development, at par with global football. The former #SouthMelbourne technical director reasoned, This new structure is good because it will give the possibility for players to not miss a year of development and keep going in the process. Especially, considering the older age groups closer to senior football, with the U/20s becoming U/21s and U/18s becoming U/19s. This change has an impact on the whole process of development of the clubs and opens more opportunities for players to come into the process. This adjustment of age groups respects exactly the organisation of age groups happening in football overseas, which is interesting. I believe this is the right way for preserving fair opportunities for players in their development. #BHUSC

22.01.2022 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT #BoxHillUnited are pleased to welcome back John Salatas as the club’s pre-#NPL U/13 boys’ head coach for season 2021. As someone who has answered his calling at #WembleyPark on both sides of the white line, Salatas has developed an impressive pedigree as a mentor.... After donning the #BoxHill blue between 1995 and 2009, his coaching stint at the club has been spread across various age-groups down the years. Salatas led Box Hill’s reserves (men) to championship accolade in 2004, and the U/21 boys to an undefeated title-winning campaign in 2012. In 2020, he was in charge of one of the United U/12 #MiniRoos’ squads, and assistant to our #JBNPL U/14 boys’ set-up. In the previous term, he led our U/11 Reds to glory at the prestigious #SheppartonCup, alongside a superb run at the #ClubItaliaCup. Salatas also traded a MiniRoos’ coaching role at #WaverleyVictory for three years prior to that, and further tutored Box Hill U/16 and U/18 boys at various intervals.

Our purpose is to provide an environment that enables our players to reach their highest potential. Our #Junior and #MiniRoos teams are some of the best performing teams in the state.... As we re-set for 2021, we are taking Expressions of Interest for talented coaches for our #NPL (Boys) & #NPLW (Girls), #MiniRoos (Boys & Girls), and Soccer-Skills-Smiles (4-7-Year-Old Boys & Girls) programs We encourage both Male & Female coaches to apply. To be successful in the role you will be Passionate, energetic, positive, punctual and organised. You will have strong verbal communication skills, and be driven to nurture and develop young players to reach their highest potential each year in an inclusive professional yet enjoyable and friendly environment. You will be able to work in a collaborative manner with other club coaches, and be able to take direction and feedback from the #TechnicalDirector to implement the required #FFA and club-coaching practices, so we achieve our aims and goals. Coaches will be required to deliver training and playing style following the #BoxHillUnitedSC/FFA curriculum. Throughout the course of the season, you will also be required to complete #FFA reporting, player analysis and reports as required.
