Chances are the factory torque converter weld has become porous,firstly from poor welding penetration and then thining of weld through machining of snout... We're seeing a lot of well maintained rigs around 90,000klms , with poor transmission fluid condition. The valve circled in picture allows oil to to circulate to the cooler once the fluid has warmed to operating temps.
