03.01.2022 School is always a busy place and even more so at this time of the year; Reports, graduation, Christmas concert, twilight picnic, Awards Assembly to name a few of the many events happening at Boyare over the next two weeks. At this time of the year planning for 2021 is well and truly underway and class structures and class lists are being developed and will be on display at the school on January 29th 2021. It is important that you inform the school if your child/children are ...changing schools in 2021. If you have children eligible for Kindy (turning four between January 2 and June 30, 2021) it is important that you enrol them now. 2020 has been a very challenging year across all parts of life, including school. I would like to thank my staff for being so resourceful, resilient, dedicated and caring in this year like no other! The students of Boyare have been very lucky to have such an amazing team of educators support them through the year. The community support for our school has assisted us immensely and on behalf of all of my staff I thank parents, community, agencies, our P&C and School Council for your support and assistance throughout the year. At the conclusion of each year it is always sad to say goodbye to staff who will move on to other positions and pursuits. Sadly, leaving us this year will be Miss Sophie Bates, Miss Angela Martinez, Miss Alicia Carmen, Ms Tam Nguyen, Ms Simone Carr, Miss Raquel Santana, Mrs Glenda Maleki and Mr Tim Rutter.. A huge thank you to all of these educators for their valued contributions to our school and I wish them all the best for their future pursuits! A special thank you to Mrs Colleen McCallum who will continue her Long Service Leave until early February and then retire from a long and successful career in education. Thank you Colleen for your contributions to Boyare and public education in WA over many years. All the best for happy retirement and time with family and friends. After 43 years in education in WA I have made the very difficult but carefully considered decision to make 2020 my last year in education and will retire at the end of the year to spend time with family and travel the world. I still have a lot to see! I cannot think of a better school to finish my career at than Boyare. Boyare has been a huge part of my life over the last 12 years and I will miss the school community, staff and students greatly. Thank you to all of the community and especially to my truly amazing staff and students for making my years at Boyare the highlight of my career. I will cherish my memories of this very special school. Glenn Murray Principal.
