24.01.2022 It's the end of an era! On Monday 11 December 2017, Boyd Park Toastmasters Club held its final club meeting at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Thank you to the Prince of Wales Hotel for the support and assistance over the past five years. On 22 January 2018, Boyd Park will resume its ongoing quest to assist people in discovering and increasing their leadership and communication skills at the Club's new home, the meeting room at Nundah Library. The library is located in Primrose... Lane, Nundah (just next to Boyd Park and next to the Nundah Memorial Hall). Club meetings will now start at 7pm and finish at 9pm. Fellowship starts from 6.30pm. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, prosperous New Year. We hope to see you all at the Nundah Library on Monday 22 January 2018.

24.01.2022 A reminder to all that Boyd Park Toastmasters Club's meeting is on tomorrow night at the Prince of Wales Hotel meeting room at 7:30pm. Everyone welcome! We'll be hearing about the exciting new education program Pathways, which will be coming to our Region very soon.

23.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who came to our Roman Senate night tonight. Wow!! What a fabulous evening it was for all. Everyone got right into the spirit of it and we heard some excellent speeches and evaluations alike. It was a real honour to have guests from RBWH Toastmasters Club and also Adventurers Club, Ironbark Club and Narangba Club. Thank you one and all for your excellent contribution to the evening. It was thoroughly enjoyable. A special thank you goes to our very busy and hard-working Northgate Ward Councillor Adam Allan who took time out of his hectic schedule to join us. Councillor Allan was also good enough to be put on the spot for a Table Topic, which he answered very well and within time. We love seeing visitors at Boyd Park and warmly encourage anyone and everyone to visit us on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.

22.01.2022 Just completed doing my two 'Pathways Plans' . Now I'm ready to find out if I did them correctly at the next meeting at Boyd Park with Ally Hannon's session on the new educational program coming in 2018.

16.01.2022 Boyd Park Toastmasters Club is moving! As of January 2018, we will be meeting at the Nundah Library Meeting Room from 7-9pm on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. If you've been wanting to improve your leadership and communication skills, then Boyd Park Toastmasters Club can help you.

14.01.2022 Oh My Goodness , PEOPLE :) 10 people to be in fact Yay. Thank you to all that attended including Sudarshan Dahal ( Area 18 Director ) and a surprising visit by Emma Olsen . Oh what a night ! We had a lengthy yet necessary discussion about future membership building ideas and strategies.... Looking forward to the next meetings and see how we go in following-up these plans .

11.01.2022 Area 18 Conference and Contest Day Boyd Park was represented by our President Ally Hannon, VPE Andrew Cole and VPPR Abhishek Singh. Once again, Abhishek and Andrew showed why Boyd Park is " a club high on quality, even when low on numbers" ,in their respective contests; Abhishek in Table Topics and Andrew in Evaluation. Andrew fortunately won the Evaluation Contest and will go on to represent Area 18 at the Moreton Division contest in early 2018 and hopefully onto the District Conference in April/May 2018.

10.01.2022 Boyd Park Toastmaster Club does not only inspire me to deliver better speeches,BUT also to climb other "mountains". Mount Beerburrum to be precise.

10.01.2022 Another great evening at Boyd Park this evening , where we explored the theme of Self Care. We heard an excellent speech from Rob about alternative views which gave us all something to think about. Rob was also the lucky winner of the raffle prize of an exotic scented reed diffuser. President Ally gave us an educational on Pathways and a glimpse of the future of Boyd Park over the next 12 months. Everyone is welcome to our next meeting to be held on Monday 24 July.

08.01.2022 Hearty congratulations to our member David who delivered his Ice Breaker speech this evening. For a first speech, David's relaxed delivery, inclusive eye contact, and confident manner impressed everyone. Well done David!! Here's David with his Evaluator Peta, who delivered an excellent evaluation of his speech. We are also delighted to have welcomed a brand new member into our Club this evening. Welcome Brigitte! Toastmaster Rob performed his role with great aplomb, with ex...cellent research undertaken for our theme of travel. We were so impressed, we decided that we will have Travel: Part 2 when both Rob and Ally return from their respective gargantuan holidays in a couple of months. It has been an interesting 12 months ; 3 wins at Area , Ally Hannon being our club's 1st International contest participant at District , and quiet achieving members coming out of their shells to educate us ( Princess Predicate as an example). has been indeed an honor to have been your President and spread the great work of our members to those I have met. Now , on wards and upwards , under the Guidance of Ally , and into the new era of "Pathways"
