23.01.2022 21st World Water Ski Racing Championships - Vichy, France After 18 months of preparation for the 21st World Water Ski Racing Championships our journey finish...ed with some amazing results for our team after some hurdles early in the week with boat issues and challenges. Our team owner and driver Chris Stevens didnt miss a beat, his cool and calm nature kept the team on track throughout the challenging week of racing. Our outstanding observer, Mark Boyer, used his years of experience to make sure our team got the best result possible. Mark, you are without a doubt up there with the best in the business. Congratulations to our Open Womens Skier Maddi Boyer for taking home the silver medal after a challenging week with engine issues and mishaps! 2nd in the world is very impressive following Australian Ellen Jones who took home the World Title. Maddi is already talking about her preparation for 2021 and we look forward to supporting Maddi on this journey. In Open Mens our senior skier Daniel Cotton demonstrated his years of experience finishing with 5th overall competing in his 4th World Title. We thank Cotto for his support of our skiers Maddi and Jack after coaching and mentoring them through the journey. Our Australian River Series Skier, Jack Stevens, also faced a challenging week with a boating incident in the last race but pulled through with his outstanding team of David Bisho driving his boat Race Marine and Mark Boyer observing taking home the silver medal in Formula 2 Mens. Thankfully his talented driver Dave Bishop who gave it his all plus more in Vichy was able to get back home to Australia for surgery on his leg and is on the road to full recovery. Dave, youre a legend! Congratulations to Australian Lachie Nix in taking home the World Title and Jake Frame from GB on 3rd. Our race team would also like to thank the Stevens and Boyer Family for their ongoing support. A big thanks goes to the team at Baldwin Boats for their great service over many years, they have supported our ski racing journey from the very start. Special mention to Brad Langdon from Baldwin Boats for his weeks and hours of work in the lead up and in Vichy at the championships. We cant forget the main people behind the scene.. The training crew! Noel Bishop never misses a beat and is the chief on water driver, we would be lost without Noel. Thanks to Beau Duggan, Dylan Cuff, Lloyd Woolman, Ashley Cox and Billy Lloyd along with the others that jumped in along the way.
